Our Holistic Center lives from the culture in the house which quality is made by the people. There are a lot of activities going on that need someone to comfort the guests in the house with a good service attitude and to make the rooms fresh, keep the kitchen in good conditions and welcome the guests.

Amrit and I have been taking working volunteers since May 2013. It has been a full, fulfilling, and sometimes demanding experience. Overall, a great journey of learning. Our centre is developing tremendously (with approximately 400 working volunteers, things can be done :-). We have had overwhelmingly positive feedback from hundreds of volunteers so far. Please note - fluent English is a must, and strictly no alcohol, smoking, or drugs are permitted.

THE EXPERIENCE: Palazzo Pitti is a historic building, and currently still partially a building site undergoing construction. Earth, dust and building materials are part of it. That means that we need your practical skills and willingness to keep the house and its rooms in a very clean and tidy condition.

Atividades & Turnos

THE SCHEDULE: We do 5 hours of work daily. The time schedule is 7.00-9.00am Yoga, 9.00-10.00 am breakfast, 10.00am -3.00pm work, 3.00 pm lunch. Food is 100 % vegetarian. Evening or weekend meals are to be prepared by yourself.

We will create daily work goals together. When 5 hours of work are not completed before lunch, in some cases the work will have to be completed after lunch. This is because some tasks, including plastering walls or building with concrete, do not allow for breaks overnight.

It is advisable to bring a set of working clothes, since we do a lot of renovation in and around the house as well as in the garden. In winter, please bring extra warm clothes. The weather can get cold and the heating in the house can be limited. The rooms have wooden and coal stoves that you may use if required.


Regras

We are not a typical host. We give our best, but we expect your best as well. When you arrive, this house becomes your home. And it needs to be treated with love and care. The premises are smoke-free, alcohol-free and drug -free. Overriding this policy of the house will mean the person has to leave.

We require a €7 daily contribution: €5 to cover amenities and food, and €2 to cover insurance that ensures your safety and protect you from personal liability. We also ask for a €50 deposit, which reduces the risk of volunteers causing damage to the property.
