Volunteer with children and adults with disabilities

Troca

Volunteers work across all of our projects. A volunteer could be teaching English at the Technological College for People with Disabilities, then playing some English games at our School for Children with Special Needs. In the afternoon go to School for the Blind & take some children for a walk on the beach, then on Saturdays go to our Children’s Village where the kids will run a riot for two hours. Other volunteers work in our Day Care Center.

Detalhes

Volunteer with us and you will have memories that will last a lifetime. Volunteering at the Father Ray Foundation is different to most other opportunities. Here we do not ask you for any large fees, what we want is simple. We want enthusiastic volunteers to come and get involved. This is not a 9-5 Monday to Friday job, nor is it a place where volunteers turn up for two weeks, take some photos with some children in the morning then chill out on the beach in the afternoon. Here, volunteers come and have a lasting impact on the lives of our students and children, volunteers really do make a difference!

Volunteers live on-site at the Mahatai Convention Center, living in a private single bedroom, with air conditioning, a television and a private shower room. Meals are provided three times per day.

Atividades & Turnos

Volunteers work throughout the week, teaching around 3 hours per day Monday to Friday, spending time at various projects and visiting the residential children's projects on Saturdays.

Regras

We expect all volunteers to treat this the same as they would for a paid job. Volunteers have a direct and positive impact on our children and students' lives, so it is essential that volunteers treat with this with the upmost importance and professionalism.
