Minha experiência no host foi melhor do que eu esperava, me senti em casa, e fui muito bem acolhida durante os 16 dias em que fiquei lá. De segunda a sexta eu ajudava o pessoal com os trabalhados da comunidade, que são bem simples, e o final de semana era livre. Neste meio tempo conheci pessoas maravilhosas e um projeto encantador, que faz diferença na vida das pessoas, e isso é muito gratificante. Além disso pude melhorar o nível do meu inglês, aprendi palavras e expressões novas. Foi uma experiência enriquecedora. Com certeza irei voltar um dia <3.

Irina was such a delight to have around! I'm so glad we had the blessing of having her come and be with us, even if it was a short stay. Her love for people and helping was beautiful to see and experience first-hand. It was also very nice to see her try out new things like packing soup mix, quilting, helping with lunch-prep, etc. and just go for it when opportunities came along. We hope to see her again! If you want to da volunteer with a purpose it's the place! Everyone there is very kind, always worried about what you need and what you feel. It's such a welcoming and amazing place! The work is hard in the summer time but it's very rewarding to serve and help them in the fight against the hunger in the world. Don't hesitate and apply now!

This place is amazing. People are loving and always willing to help, truely good people. The rooms are big and comfortable and the food is AMAZING, they'll feed you well. The weekends are crazy fun and there is a lot of work to do but being with the people makes it better. You will feel like you're with family.

From day one I was accepted and welcomed as a family member, with lots of hugs and, of course, food! The food at Gleanings is absolutely fantastic (thanks, Norma)! They provide breakfast, lunch and dinner on week days. On weekends, you can still go to the kitchen and cook something. The work can be hard sometimes, but it's fun because you get to do it with your friends and if you're unconfortable with a specific job, they'll find you something else to do. This is a safe and full-of-love place, I met amazing people and learned a lot about christianity and charity here. Leaving is VERY hard!!!

It is a fantastic place to share and socialize with the volunteers who come to the base and the people who live there. If you believe in God, you will have the opportunity to be with Christian people who heard God's call to work for those most in need. Here you will have an excellent opportunity to contribute with working hours to feed the hungry of the world.

It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Extremely respectful and receptive, everyone I had the opportunity to meet at Gleanings helped me not only with the language, but also to become a better person. Ideal place to start an exchange. They are very understanding of our difficulty with the language and their initial adaptation to the country's culture. Because it is a missionary institution, it is the ideal place for those who want to meet spiritually and socially. I just have to thank each one of the team. I hope to have the opportunity to return one day.

It was one of the best experiences of my life. We help to fight against hungry in the world, with people that is kindness, lovey and adorable. Is a place to stay closer God and have peace with yourself. You can meet and talk with a lot a people. I recommend for everybody. Meals, rooms and places are so cool, cleaned and bigger.

At Gleanings you will stay in a farm working in different tasks - and in all of them you learn something new and interact with people from all over the world and the US. It is a great experience for someone who wants to improve their english and to learn more about how is the life in other countries!

If you ever Wonder where's the Love in this world, here it is. Great oportunitie for learning English, Soft skills and other habilities. The place is beautifull, Project is huge, work is fun, delicious food, and the most important, amazing people. Had the oportunity of being in touch with backpackers and missionarys from all over the world, staff treated us very well, everyone was so patience for teaching english and telling histories about their travels around the world and sharing lifes experience, it Just couldn't be better. I definatevely want to come back.
