Nao recomendaria esta experiência. A vida em comunidade não é divertida e tem muito trabalho. Você fica isolado de tudo e depende de dividir os carros pessoais dos donos para ir à estaçao de trem, e paga caro toda vez que quiser usar o carro. Voce pode usar as bicicletas que eles têm, mas nao é uma pedalada muito agradavel, com muito evento e frio. A comida é bem ruim, apesar de saudavel. Você nao pode cozinhar sua propria comida e tem que comer o que é servido. A comida é a base de muitos muitos vegetais e organica. Come-se uma pouca quantidade de ovos e peixe.

We are aware that this experience is not for everyone and that we do what we can to inform people about what to expect, including an interview before to avoid unrealistic expectations. For the most time we succeed and have people who feel they grow a lot during their stay here and are grateful for the experience. However once in a while we don't succeed to recognize unrealistic expectations in a person before they arrive with the result that they experience disappointment. We are sorry that you obviously had to go through this.

It was a nice experience, the place is totally surrounded by nature and beautiful animals of the area. I enjoyed people there, I got the opportunity to learn more about macrobiotic diet, improve my skills in social media management and even in cooking meals, which is something I do like. Sometimes I just felt not in the right place, feeling the need to meet new people and explore new places, but it was not so easy since Avnø it's kinda in the middle of nowhere.

I have really enjoyed being part of and supporting the Avnø the eco village community. But also being supported and appreciated by the wonderful personalities in the community. In my area of responsibility, marketing, I was able to design and creatively implement many things on my own and there were no limits to my creativity. I really appreciated this and my suggestions were positively received in an open exchange within the community. Thank you for the many wonderful and intense moments and experiences in the community 💚

It was my first volunteering experience, I travelled with my boyfriend. The best part of the experience was the people! We created and amazing team to work and also to enjoy doing different activities (pingpong, bádminton, basketball...). Really nice relationship with both hosts, Kristiane and John, and in general with the hole community. You need to be aware that they follow a macrobiotic diet, mostly vegan, so it's important for you to know where you are going (In my personal opinion, I am not vegetarian, but for me was good anyway). It was a really nice learning experience!!!
