How does volunteer exchange in South America work?
Instead of traveling to another country just to be a tourist, on a volunteer trip you have the opportunity to help with social projects, local communities, or NGOs while you get to know the region. You stay in a place set up by the project and help out a few hours per day in the role you apply to volunteer in. You can help in many ways, be it babysitting or teaching a new language to native communities.
South America is home to inspiring social projects spread throughout the continent to travel to as a volunteer. You can have your first experience in Brazil if it is your first time or choose a project in another country to enjoy while still improving your Spanish. Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru are the main volunteer destinations in our community. Check out stories to learn how to volunteer abroad from people that have already gone.
