Wir hatten eine wunderbare Erfahrung mit meinem Freund Max! Das Personal war außerordentlich herzlich, hat uns willkommen geheißen und uns trotz der Sprachbarriere perfekt integriert. Eine einzigartige Immersion mitten im Dschungel und eine schöne Entdeckung der Umgebung.
Ein riesiges Dankeschön an die Mitarbeitenden, die jeden Tag da sind, an das Empfangs- und Bar-Team sowie besonders an das Küchenteam!
Der einzige negative Punkt betrifft den Eigentümer, der offenbar den finanziellen Aspekten mehr Bedeutung beimisst als der Wertschätzung und dem Wohlbefinden des Personals, das dennoch bemerkenswert in seiner Arbeit ist.

Ich bin zurück in diesem Hostel, nachdem ich im letzten Jahr eine AMAZING Erfahrung hatte, aber die Energie hat sich vollständig verändert😢 Der Besitzer stimmte zu, dass ich an der Bar wäre, aber der Freiwilligenkoordinator hatte andere Erwartungen. Quite der Kontrast im Vergleich zur Verlängerung auf fast 3 Monate im letzten Jahr, dies ist der erste Ort, an dem ich 4 Tage früher gegangen bin😌 (sie haben meine Daten hier nicht aktualisiert, damit sie dem entsprechen, was wir per WhatsApp vereinbart haben) Nicht ideal, wenn du wachsen oder lernen willst, aber du bekommst 3 vegetarische Mahlzeiten pro Tag und ein Bett, gut, wenn du während deiner Reise einfach sparen willst :)

Overall a great experience. The local staff were lovely and the hostel is beautiful and truly in the hostel. The provided vegetarian meals were delicious, varied and much appreciated. The volunteer dorm is basic and could do with a few tweaks to improve things but is still good, the beds were comfortable and there are mosquito nets over each bed Being able to speak basic Spanish I think is necessary as a lot of the local staff do not speak English and you will need to communicate with them when you are working in the kitchen and BBQ Previous hospitality experience would also be very helpful

El ambiente laboral de las personas que trabajan en el hostal podría mejorar mucho, al igual que el hospedaje para los voluntarios y la comida que nos brindan. Ya que, en mi caso pude presenciar los colchones en mal estado y el dormitorio con falta de limpieza. La comida no es muy saludable y en mi caso me dio sensación de pesadez por falta de verduras y proteínas siempre. Por otro lado, las tareas son muy sencillas y siempre la mejor es dentro del Bar , también agradezco la flexibilidad que tuvieron con mis horas de trabajo para poder cumplir con ciertas actividades.

Avoid This Place – Unethical & Exploitative The voluntary work was a terrible experience. The hostel Manager demanded extra tasks from volunteers despite us already working in exchange for accommodation and food. One staff member even admitted that exploiting volunteers was "fine" The provided unhygenic food was barely enough—mostly rice and pasta with occasional eggs or beans and also led to the poisonning of one of the volunteers. Malnutrition was a real issue. On top of that, the hostel operates with a toxic hierarchy treating workers much better than volunteers.i ended up leaving the place

The hostel was our first volunteering experience and we did Enjoy it. the hostel is beautiful, amongst the mountains and close to the sea. We worked at the bar, restaurant and the bbq, and learned to prepare some cocktails as well as making coffee recipes. We received a lot of support specially from Alba. We appreciate that woman, always willing to help. At the beginning, it seemed the staff wasn't organized with schedules but with the time our schedules were told us a day in advance. Thank u guys, Lia and I deffo are planning to go back to visit. We already miss Coco, Brisa, Jupi y Paco ✨

I loved it here! Stayed originally for 2 weeks but the host and I were super happy so it was possible to extend for 1 more week. Thanks again ;) The area is amazing. In the middle of nature. With waterfalls and some hikes nearby. Even the beach is just a (roughly 30 min) bus trip away. Santa Marta can be driven to within 60 minutes. The colleagues were amazing and always there for you. The food was amazing and the working hours were good, too. I recommend this to everyone, who wants to get to know nice people, chill and relax in the jungle (with a pool) or even have some celebrations ;)

This place was an amazing opportunity to be with the nature, good people and good vibes. The work was pretty easy and the co-worker was funny. I enjoyed my stay here and had a nice time. I thank you for the amazing time with you guys. I will definitely come back again.

I was staying at the hostel for about two weeks, and it was absolutely amazing. The staff and the other volunteer's are all super friendly and the work was very manageable. It's directly in the jungle, but Party hostels and other great places aren't far! Thanks for everything, juanchoo
