I had such a great time at the hostel for my first stay. Everyone was very welcoming when I arrived, and made me feel very at home. The first thing to note is how clean the hostel is, by far the nicest place I've stayed on my 4 month trip to southern America! The hours were very manageable, and the team was great fun to work with. By the end I had really improved my Spanish and learned a great bit of Colombian cooking! Thank you to Hegel, Bryan, and the rest of the team!

Alex war ein herausragender Freiwilliger in unserem Hotel. Er zeigt durchgängig ein hohes Maß an Verantwortungsbewusstsein bei seinen Aufgaben, zeigt Initiative und den Drang, ständig mehr zu lernen. Außerdem ist seine Teamarbeit beispiellos und er beeindruckt uns immer mit seinem Einsatz und seiner Professionalität. Es besteht kein Zweifel, dass Alex eine wertvolle Bereicherung für unser Hotel war, und wir sind sehr dankbar, ihn in unserem Team zu haben. Wir werden ihn sehr vermissen!

La pase bien, Palomino es un pueblo divertido donde tuve la posibilidad de interactuar con mucha gente. El staff del hotel casi siempre fue muy amable conmigo excepto Heidi que siempre fue muy pasivo agresiva conmigo. Mi objetivo era aprender acerca de gastronomía local y no ocurrió ya que la cocina era de comida rápida que no era algo nuevo para mi. Las labores son muy fáciles y los horarios son cómodos de jornadas cortas cada día. Lo recomiendo para pasar un rato divertido pero no para aprender cosas de gastronomía.

Estar en el hostel fue mi primer experiencia como voluntaria y me encantó La flexibilidad es increíble, las tareas no son pesadas. Incluso a veces uno intenta ayudar turnos extras porque no cuesta y don tareas entretenidas en las que puedes seguir conectando con las personal Amé cada día allá y me sentí como en casa, Nairobi fue un amor de persona y siempre estuvo muy pendiente de mi. Brayan siempre fue muy educado y estuvo pendiente de mi para que me sintiera siempre comoda y hegel es muy buen anfitrión siempre dispuesto a enseñarte y ayudarte con lo que necesites. amé todo.

The experience at the hostel was good. It is a clean, beautiful space, and the staff is super nice. It's a good place to practice Spanish too. If you need to work or if you're needing some rest durong your trip, I highly recommend it, because the place is calm and relaxing. I would suggest agreeing on the schedule beforehand because it wasn't really functional for the work and for the volunteers.

Era mi primer voluntariado, por lo tanto estaba a la expectativa sobre el lugar, sobre las actividades y demas, hoy retornando a mi casa puedo decir que fue una linda experiencia, no conocía Palomino y fue un lugar maravilloso, naturaleza, buenos restaurantes, gente linda, playa, rio, además es muy seguro, del hostel, un gran equipo, personas muy bonitas que te llenan el corazón, Paola, David, Miguel, Heidy y en especial Brayan y Nairobi, las actividades fueron fáciles y me permitieron cambiar algunos horarios para conocer, me fui con el corazón y la maleta llena de sueños y sin duda volvería

The team at the hostel are an absolute pleasure to work with! I worked evening shifts, normally 4/5 hours a day and the work is really easy and enjoyable because of the people you work with. Palomino is also a lovely place, nice beaches and a good spot if you're looking for a chilled relaxing experience.

No hay lugar mejor que el hostel para hacer voluntariado! Es un lugar muy lindo y con personas maravillosas, sinto que tengo una familia en Palomino! El trabajo es muy tranquilo y la habitación muy aconchegante. Además, está cerca de la playa que es muy bela y me conecté com muchas personas allá. Súper recomiendo el voluntariado en el hostel! Un consejo: vaya ya con todo dinero en efectivo.

I had such an amazing experience at the hostel! The hotel, the staff and the location were all amazing. Palomino is a gorgeous & safe town. The work is so easy, the rooms are nice and all of the staff are super nice and welcoming. You definitely need to have more than conversational Spanish language skills, as none of the full time staff speak English. Nonetheless, I managed to make it work & made some beautiful friendships! I would recommend this experience to everyone looking for a volunteering position in Colombia.
