Ich hatte den unglaublichsten Monat in der Lodge Franko. Die Arbeit ist super einfach. Und du verbringst Zeit damit, nette Einheimische kennenzulernen und mit anderen wunderbaren Freiwilligen zu leben. Du kannst wirklich einen einfachen Lebensstil an dem bestmöglichen Ort führen.

Zunächst möchte ich Primoz dafür danken, dass ich dort sein durfte. Rückblickend war es eine der unvergesslichsten Erfahrungen, die ich im Lodge Franko gemacht habe. Der Ort hat diese Energie, die dich aus deiner Komfortzone herausdrückt und dich in etwas Neues führt, wie das Betreten eines Pfades, von dem du nicht wusstest, dass du bereit bist. Und wenn du diese Reise mit unglaublichen Menschen teilen kannst (wie ich es tat), wirkt jeder Moment noch bedeutungsvoller und voller Möglichkeiten.

The lodge Franko was an amazing experience. The living is very back to basic so you need to be up for that. The work is very easy and the surroundings are stunning.

My experience at the lodge Franko was amazing! I spend 16 days at the lodge, and met the best people! The other volunteers were amazing and the host was great! the lodge franko is a great experience if you want to get out in nature and try something different!

The lodge Franko became a home away from home with the best group, cozy movie nights, hikes, lovely locals and many amazing memories. Be prepared for baby wipe showers, getting creative in the kitchen with very limited supplies, a not very long drop toilet and water rations. I walked/hitchhiked down to the city a couple of times for an adventure and much needed supplies (veggies, fruit, lentils, beans). Thanks Primos for a great experience!

I loved my volunteer time at the lodge Franko. We had an amazing team that shared the light load and got on well together. We became like a little family, cooking meals together with the little food provided and sometimes a bit extra that someone went to the city to get. We usually hiked down on a week day with each other making sure at least one or two people stayed at the lodge. It will be necessary to get some extra food for yourself as it is the basics that are provided. Water is refilled once a week so you have to be careful with usage. And showering may not be everyday and is with a bucket.

Had an amazing time at the lodge Franko I wish I could've stayed longer! The other volunteers were amazing and Primoz was a great host. He even drove us to da waterfall hike one day and it was amazing. the lodge has the best views and the most gorgeous sunsets. The work was quite simple serving guests drinks and food on weekends. It's like camping so don't expect running water haha (good luck in Valhalla) but it's all part of the experience. Met so many nice locals as well as travellers from all over. I loved my time here and would love to return!!

The place is wonderful, the views are excellent and the cabin feels like a refuge, the people I met made the experience even better, but definitely the star of the cabin is Max the cat :v

Volunteering at the lodge Franko was an absolute dream! I learnt so much about Bosnian culture and history through the fascinating and generous locals and made friends I hope to have my whole life. the lodge is in a beautiful location with views over Sarajevo and the mountains across the valley, and the tasks are very simple (making tea and coffee for passing hikers) so you quickly get used to the novelties of the lodge (no running water and a dry toilet). Primoz and Goga were great hosts and I cannot thank them enough for having me as a volunteer!!!

Second time in the lodge and it was even better that ever, seing regulars again, the sunsets, cooking with Primoz, everything was just perfect and as I remembered. This the lodge feels like a second home to me and I can't get enough of it, I will hopefully come back again and will try to enjoy this paradise every year ❣️
