Hallo, es tut mir leid, mitteilen zu müssen, dass ich mich während meines Aufenthalts sehr unwohl gefühlt habe. Obwohl der Gastgeber freundlich war, gab es in der Unterkunft keine Privatsphäre. Zufällige Leute kamen ins Zimmer und fragten nach der Dusche, und selbst als ich schlief oder mich umzog, wurden die Vorhänge geöffnet und Leute kamen hinein. Da ich der einzige Gast in einem Zimmer mit sechs Betten war, ließ mich das unsicher fühlen. Außerdem waren die Toiletten für mich nicht in einem nutzbaren Zustand.
Ich kam mit guten Absichten an und war bereit zu beginnen, mich zu engagieren, aber nach dem, was ich an diesem Abend erlebt habe, erkannte ich, dass ich nicht weitermachen konnte, und musste gehen

Ich hatte einen absolut fantastischen Aufenthalt in diesem Hostel in Kandy! Der Gastgeber ist unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und kümmert sich wirklich darum, dass meine Erfahrung unvergesslich wird. Von dem Moment an, als ich ankam, fühlte ich mich in jeder Hinsicht willkommen und unterstützt. Er gab fantastische Ratschläge, tat alles, um mit lokalen Tipps zu helfen, und sorgte immer dafür, dass ich mich wohl fühlte. Sehr freundliche Atmosphäre!

It was a Great experience, the hostel is really nice and good location. You feel at home, the person who work there is very friendly, it's an amazing person. I will never forget my stay there. I highly recommend this volunteering !

Manoj was the best! I had a great time here, there weren't many guests so not too much work at all, I was supposed to stay a week but because there wasn't much to do, I was able to leave a couple days early. Thank you so much for the experience!!

Manoj was a really sweet host who helped me a lot during my time in sri lanka there wasn't a work load because of low season but i had the most amazing time there , and I would definitely recommend to other solo travellers that the place , the host , the experience was all worth it .

I spent ten days with Manoj and it was absolutely amazing. It was the best experience for learning about Sri Lankan culture. Manoj is very welcoming and kind. I was helping him with French lessons but I think he taught me more ! I highly recommend this voluntary.

From the very first moment I arrived at the hostel Manoj made me feel very welcome. He is a very kind person, very easy to talk with and always willing to help and share his things with other people. That's why the atmosphere at the hostel was always very cozy and relaxing. During the week I spent there he showed me Kandy, introduced me to his family and friends and shared his culture with me. He even used his time to take me shopping and buy things I needed. Together we met many backpackers, made new friends and shared good moments. I definitely recommend this experience!! :)

I want to clearly say that I had the most incredible experience with Manoj as a volunteer at the hostel! Being my first time as a Worldpacker, we shared a caring and respectful atmosphere where there was space for many questions and learning. I ended up staying for a few days extra, since I fell in love with Kandy— thanks to Manoj showing me around, introducing me to people I can call friends now! The hostel was a safe and calming space to come back to after spending the day with other backpackers wandering — I would say it was a home far away from my own home.
