Programmdetails

Herveys offers a small number of work for accommodation places for guests who want to make Hervey Bay home base for a while. In exchange for free accommodation for the length of your stay, we ask for 12 hours a week of housekeeping, covering the everyday tasks that keep the hostel clean, tidy, and welcoming for everyone staying with us. We ask for a minimum commitment of one month, giving you plenty of time to settle in and become part of the team. If you decide to move on, we ask for one week of notice to find a replacement.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Roles cover changing beds across our king rooms, twin rooms and dorm rooms, along with cleaning the bathrooms and on site kitchen. Housekeeping shifts run 8 to 9am for bathroom cleaning, 10am to 1pm for room changes, and 9 to 1030pm for the bathroom and kitchen shift.

Regeln

Herveys is not a party hostel and this is respected at all times. As a small team we hold everyone to a clean and respectful standard. We ask for a weeks notice if you plan to leave. The roster is published every Sunday, with our weeks running Wednesday to Tuesday, and once it is published it is up to you to arrange any shift swaps directly with other housekeepers rather than through management. We are happy to be flexible in moving your shifts around any other jobs you may have.
