Mi experiencia terminó antes de lo previsto por decisión del equipo tras una situación puntual durante la noche (una pesadilla en la que hablé en sueños). Lo comuniqué y expliqué que no es algo habitual en mí, pero aun así decidieron finalizar mi estancia sin darme opción a continuar. En el hostal hay voluntarios de larga estancia y no encontré una dinámica abierta hacia los nuevos voluntarios. Faltó comunicación y comprensión. El hostal es bonito y cerca de la playa, aunque los supermercados quedan algo más alejados.

Thank you for your feedback, Judith. The situation unfortunately affected the rest and sense of safety of other team members in the shared dorm, and maintaining a calm and secure environment is essential for everyone, so we decided to end the volunteering.
You completed only 2 shifts and declined to continue, so we cannot properly evaluate your volunteering. As you were traveling alone, we still offered you 7 extra nights at the hostel without shifts as we could not find an alternative.

My time at the hostel has been and still going great. I've really enjoyed the company of the staff who are very committed to the hostel's schedule and all the tasks around the hostel. The vibe is very healthy as smoking is not allowed inside the hostel and I also appreciate all the extra activities they offer. The location is privileged just a few minutes walk from the beach.

I was 7 weeks in Medan the hostel. I should have stayed there only 4 weeks, but i extended as much as i could. It was an incredible experience, soon i became part of the little warm family of medano, the atmosphere of the hostel is amazing and Alessandro is a great manager. He listens to you, helps you and he is great at managing every situation that may occur. You need to of course adapt to the hostel life, but it's all worth it! I would recommend this experience to anyone, it will enrich you in every possible way, this is at least what happened to me. Forever grateful to have done it!

A hostel that makes you feel like a part of the family with a great location and a pool. It's a good place to practice Spanish, but it can be harder to connect with others if you don't speak Spanish yet. The work is manageable, and the host is very understanding, supportive, and flexible when it comes to changing hours. The overall atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making it well suited for people who enjoy a relaxed, close-knit environment. I would definitely recommend this opportunity to others

Mi experiencia en el hostel fue buena. Se nota que existe una cultura de voluntariado porque está todo bien organizado en cuanto a las tareas y actividades. Se da un bonito ambiente entre el equipo y es una increíble instancia para conocer Tenerife y cada rincón que sueñes de la isla.

Fue una experiencia intensa! El hostal está bien ubicado, cerca de la playa, paradas de autobús, mercados, bares y restaurantes, en una zona muy turística. El hostel es amplio, dos casas con piscina y jacuzzi. El trabajo es sencillo. Hay muchos voluntarios (lo que hace delicada la convivencia) y turistas en vacaciones; es una oportunidad de voluntariado para disfrutar de la playa, fiestas y comidas. Si te gusta la naturaleza, podrás recorrer la isla en tus días libres. Los managers son flexibles y amables. Gracias, el hostel <3 Plus: Posibilidad de alojarse en otros hostales de la cadena.

It was my first experience and it couldn't have gone better! the hostel where I stayed is a large hostel with lots of people, so you can't get bored and you can learn a lot about different cultures. I was immediately welcomed by the volunteers and managers. If you have any questions or requests they are always ready to help you in a friendly manner. The job also allows you to have a lot of free time, and they are very accommodating to your needs, they give you the opportunity to discover new places or also relax on the nearby beaches. A wonderful experience, muchas gracias! <3

The experience at Medano the hostel was one full of experiences, mostly good ones, but nothing in life is perfect. Alessandro is an amazing manager and an even more amazing human being. The hostel is nice, in a good, chill area, El Médano is an amazing beach town that has everything. I created many friendships here and I would recommend this experience to anyone. Thank you Alessandro 🙏💙
