Sehr gute Erfahrung, sowohl das Hostel als auch Uvita laden dazu ein, vom Alltag abzuschalten, die Natur zu respektieren und die Ruhe zu schätzen. Ich fühlte mich an dem Ort wohl, während des Aufenthalts traf ich mehrere Gäste aus verschiedenen Kulturen; ich hatte meine Freizeit und einen bequemen Ort zum Ausruhen. Die Aufgaben waren nicht sehr anstrengend, meine Arbeitszeiten wurden respektiert und ich hatte Zeit, mein Englisch zu üben (Costa Rica empfängt viel europäischen und amerikanischen Tourismus). Ich empfehle die Erfahrung, wenn du Ruhe suchst; es ist keine Option, wenn du Partys magst oder stark frequentierte Orte bevorzugst.

Mein Aufenthalt im Karandi-Hostel war wirklich wunderbar! Ich konnte verschiedene Aktivitäten erlernen, ich arbeitete an der Rezeption, in der Reinigung und im Restaurantsalon. Eduardo war sehr offen und flexibel gegenüber meinen Vorschlägen und Bitten. Das Beste war definitiv der Austausch mit dem Team. Karo, Bella, Angi und Jackie kennenzulernen und mit ihnen in Kontakt zu treten, war das Beste meines Aufenthalts in Bahia Ballena. Die Möglichkeit, mich von der lokalen Kultur, ihren Bräuchen und Gewohnheiten zu nähren, etc. Und das Hostel ist sehr bequem. Ich bin sehr dankbar, dass ich mich entschieden habe, ehrenamtlich zu arbeiten. Ich hoffe, eines Tages zurückzukehren!

Meine Erfahrung im Hostel war unvergesslich (im guten Sinne), vom ersten Moment an fühlte ich mich willkommen und wie zu Hause. Ich hatte keine Erfahrung in der Rezeption eines Hostels, aber Eduardo war immer aufmerksam gegenüber meinen Fragen und löste sie freundlich. Es war ein echtes Austausch, da ich mich mit Costa Ricanern verbinden konnte (was eines meiner größten Ziele war) und ich kann sein großes Herz und seine Sympathie bezeugen (Bella, Karo, Angie, Lupe und der Chino) und ich lernte auch Mayra und Cami (andere Freiwillige) kennen. I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel. The environment is calm, welcoming and relaxed. Eduardo is very kind and attentive; before my arrival, he answered all my questions quickly and helped me a lot with directions to Uvita. The hostel is peaceful, even during high season, it never felt overwhelming. The tasks were simple and clear, mainly helping at recepción and taking care of the facilities. The staff is wonderful and always willing to help. I truly enjoyed supporting them and recommend this experience

The hostel was so Pura Vida! Everyone was so lovely and shared with me lots from the local culture and Food (GALLO PINTO 🫶🏼). Eduardo and Gustavo were amazing with everything and the hostel is incredible (very clean, lots of nature and an open kitchen which makes cooking very enjoyable 😊). Thank you so much the hostel family for these 3 lovely weeks.

I honestly couldn't hope for a better first volunteering than these 2 weeks at the hostel! To summarize, it checks all the boxes that could wish as a volunteer! A super beautiful & comfy hostel, where you sleep in the same dorm as the guests (a lot of hostels don't do that). A nice & benevolent team always ready to take on their time to teach you the different tasks, to explain to you nicely what to do and what you can improve, but also on your daily life, inviting you to share breakfast or go out for a drink! You're part of the team! It was perfect, a big thanks to the hostel team!

Una experiencia de genial! the hostel ha sido mi primer voluntariado internacional con WorldPackers y ha sido increíble. Las instalaciones del hostel son completas y muy bien cuidadas, además la ubicación es perfecta. Mi voluntariado consistió en ser camarera en Kinsú y aunque nunca lo habia sido antes, los trabajadores me ayudaron y fueron unos grandes maestros. Las tareas son sencillas y te permiten hacer otras cosas durante el día. Y sin duda, lo mejor de the hostel ha sido el equipo y la convivencia. Repetiría sin duda!

My experience was fantastic and I can only recommend this to anyone traveling or even as a first volunteer experience since everyone's is extremely welcome. You receive your weekly schedule in advance and the hours are very well respected. I personalidade only volunteered in the restaurant, with working hours from 11-4pm or from 4-9pm, with wednestdays and thursdays free. Uvita is a magical and beautiful place, in my free time I had plenty of time to explore nearby waterfalls, hikes and beaches. Thank you so much Eduardo for all the help and making me feel at home for two weeks :)

Fue mi primer voluntariado y no podría haber sido más perfecto. Me encantó el hostel, la gente, el lugar lleno de naturaleza, todo!! De echo me sentí tan cómoda que me quedé un poco más. Eduardo es un excelente anfitrión, amable, generoso, atento. Tiene un equipo de trabajo digno de admirar. Mis compañerxs de trabajo fueron muy pacientes conmigo y me hicieron sentir parte desde el primer día. Extrañaré mucho mi familia el hostel. Sin dudas una experiencia significante en mi viaje. MUCHAS GRACIAS 🫶🏻🦋

El equipo del hostel y Kinsú es el mejor del mundo !! Todos son tan amables, simpáticos y geniales ! Disfruté muchísimo mi tiempo allí e si puedo volveré a verlos !! A parte del equipo, el lugar es súper lindo con posibilidades de ver muchos animales en el jardín. La playa que se encuentra a 10min andando es maravillosa y todo el entorno es lindo. El pueblo de Uvita es súper tranquilo y con mucha naturaleza. El trabajo es sencillo y los horarios son hechos de manera que todo el tiempo tienes la mañana o la tarde de libre. Realmente uno de mis voluntariados favorito !!
