From the moment I arrived I felt welcome, Sebastian is so cool and a magnificent leader. The working hours fly by, it's entertaining and not at all routine, I liked that a lot! The meals are incredible, the girls in the kitchen are fantastic. The place is dreamy, unbeatable. A beautiful experience in which they allowed me to improve my English a lot, which I appreciate very much since it is very basic, but they fully trusted me. I'm thinking about coming back ❤️🩹

I had an amazing time volunteering in the guest house. Sebastian and Mao (owners) are super nice, it was really easy to communicate with them. They always made sure I was feeling alright and we had a really nice time together. Island is a true paradise and community is absolutely amazing. Working in a restaurant was a pleasure, not hard at all. I enjoyed making drinks and spending time with people. You would have a lot of free time for yourself. I would 100% recommend this experience to everyone :))

Volunteering at the guest house was fantastic! Sleeping in a tent between the jungle and the beach was like a dream come true. The work was just as we agreed, and there was plenty to do. We worked hard during the day, but it was worth it to enjoy the beautiful surroundings later. Thanks for the opportunity!

Während seiner Zeit in unserem Gästehaus zeigte Carlos außergewöhnliche Fähigkeiten im Umgang mit Gästen und erhielt durchweg positives Feedback für sein freundliches und professionelles Auftreten. Er ging über das Erwartete hinaus, um sicherzustellen, dass sich die Gäste während ihres Aufenthalts willkommen und betreut fühlten.
Im Restaurant zeigte Carlos Initiative und Anpassungsfähigkeit, unterstützte nahtlos bei verschiedenen Aufgaben wie Servieren, Abräumen der Tische und dafür zu sorgen, dass unsere Gäste ein angenehmes Restauranterlebnis hatten. Sein Engagement, einen hohen Servicestandard aufrechtzuerhalten, blieb nicht unbemerkt und wurde von Gästen und Personal gleichermaßen geschätzt.
Darüber hinaus bewältigte Carlos Check-ins und Check-outs mit Effizienz und Liebe zum Detail, was zu reibungslosen Abläufen im Gästehaus beitrug. Seine Organisationsfähigkeiten und seine Fähigkeit zu multitasken machten ihn zu einer wertvollen Bereicherung bei der Verwaltung der Rezeption.
Insgesamt erwies sich Carlos als zuverlässiges und fleißiges Teammitglied, das stets eine positive Einstellung zeigte und bereit war zu lernen und beizutragen. Sein Beitrag war maßgeblich, um das Gesamterlebnis der Gäste in unserem Gästehaus zu verbessern.

My friend and I learned a lot and enjoyed the experience overall. This would be the ideal experience for someone who is outdoorsy looking to recharge and doesn't mind heat, camping tents, insects, etc. The food was amazing and the host and staff are super sweet! Be prepared with all the items you'll need for how long you stay (contact solution, cash, sunscreen, etc), otherwise you may have to cross to the other side of the island or take a ferry to the mainland. Also, be prepared to be disconnected from internet and download enough movies and music. Thank you again the guest house!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience, it's literally living in paradise. Perfect if you love the beach and want to relax during the days and have a bit of a digital detox. Pretty remote and rural but a once in a lifetime experience. You sleep in a tent listening to the sounds of the jungle which was pretty incredible, maybe bring a fan though as you may get a bit hot at night. The team are so so lovely, you get treated so well and the food is absolutely delicious. The work was straightforward and chill, would definitely recommend!

Working in the guest house as a bartender was a wonderful opportunity. I learn a lot about cocktails. I was working while enjoying the sunset and the beauty of the beach. Moreover, Sebastian, the owner is a really nice person. He has a respectfull and humane way to manage his business. The life there is chill and peaceful. I recommend!

Es passte perfekt. Camille hat als Barkeeperin Erfahrung gesammelt, die bereits aufgefallen ist. Freundlich gegenüber den Gästen. Schade, dass du uns so früh verlassen hast. Vielen Dank für die Arbeit, die du hier geleistet hast.

If you want to have the best volunteer experience possible, you should go to the guest house. Located on a pretty remote beach the guest house is a gem on the island. Together with the Khmer Staff and other volunteers you are responsible for the restaurant, bar and check ins. Sometimes this could be hard work, but there is always someone who can help you. The food is amazing and the tent you are sleeping in comfortable with a mattress. Sebastian is very flexible, a good listener and open for creative ideas. It was a delight to work for the guest house and hope to come back in the (near) future.

The guest house was the best host I had with Worldpackers. The place is a little difficult to reach but it is worth it for sure. The host (Sebastian) and all the staff are so welcoming they are now good friends of mine. Everything is very organized and all the agreements from the opportunity were respected (working hours, free days etc). You'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with a lot of people (guests) and learn a lot about khmer culture and hospitality. This is the best place if you looking for somewhere quiet, fun, connected to nature and with great food! :D
