My experience at the hostel was good, the established schedules and the tasks previously described are met, if you have experience in reception the work will be easy to do and if not, learning will not be a problem either. The place to sleep and the hostel in general is comfortable, clean and well located. I don't give 5 stars because I think that the cook's treatment of the volunteers needs to change, sometimes she makes the atmosphere a little hostile and tense when we work, but it's something that if they talk to her about it there may be a solution. Thanks to Book for experience!😊

I wish my review was as good as the others. however, the days after arriving, i didn't feel welcomed at all. even though effie was nice, the staff made me want to cry several times. the manager was really short-tempered and got mad if i didn't get something at the first time. overall they were really impolite. the worst part was hearing them speak in thai while laughing and using our names mid-conversation shamelessly, which made me feel horrible. i don't want to sound ungrateful with this review, i'm just showing my experience there. (btw, we're not paid workers, just volunteers.)

Wir glauben, dass du eine gute Freiwillige bist und hier sehr hilfreich. Du bist ein kluges Mädchen und leicht zu verstehen für die Arbeit hier. Das ist etwas, das wir über dich gesagt haben. The hostel is well located in the historic center of Bankok, which is definitely a plus. It is, therefore, a great starting point for other places in the region, such as: Khao San Road, Wat Arun and Wat Pho (the two main temples in the city). If you like the bustling and pace of a big city such as Bangkok, it's a good place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay here, the workers are nice and would treat u with respect, effie is a welcoming host, she often brought me some local foodies:) the work is not that hard and easy to learn. and the hostel is nicely clean. thank u for everything :))

I had a wonderful experience, Effie and her family are very welcoming, friendly, and are always ready if you need something. The work is good, your main job is the reception but you can also help a little bit with the bar/restaurant service if it's crowded :) It's also a pleasure to met people & other backpackers. You will have fixed shift, but you can always arrange yourself with other volunteer to change if needed. The hostel location is very good, and you have a metro station nearby. I hope I will be able to come back later !

Working at the hostel an Bike was an amazing experience! The place is beautiful, the beds are comfy, the commun space is really cozy and the most important thing, people here are wonderful ❤️ Effie and her family are really welcoming, and always there if you need anything! Allan is really cute and will make you know everything about trains! You'll get the best advices for places to visit in Bangkok thanks to Effie 💪 Work is pretty easy and don't feel like work because you get to meet a lot of people and get to share experiences with other travelers. I will go back here without any doubt!

Effie and her family are all so sweet and welcoming! The hours are as agreed upon, and there's flexibility with days off and switching shifts with other volunteers. I unfortunately got sick and had to end my trip early, but Effie was very understanding and supportive. Allan is such a sweet boy, I will definitely miss looking after him! The hostel has a cafe/restaurant in the lobby, so you meet both travellers and locals who come to eat, drink, and play pool. I definitely reccomend this to anyone who wants to stay in a great location in Bangkok with a very welcoming local family :))

I truly recommend the hostel for a month of exploring Bangkok. Everyone from Effie and her family, the housekeepers, other volunteers to guests is extremely nice and helpful. The work is really easy and after work you have enough freetime to explore to city. The location of the hostel is also really good, as it is close to many tourist attractions and the metro is only a 5 minutewalk away. Thank you Effie!
