Es war eine andere Erfahrung; Gigi hat mich zu touristischen Orten in der Nähe von Ischia di Castro geführt.
Während meines Aufenthalts half ich ihm bei Aktivitäten, die er durchführen musste, und bei etwas Reinigung und Gartenarbeit.

Dies war meine erste Erfahrung mit Worldpackers, und es war erstaunlich. Ich habe während der ersten Januarwoche bei Luigis Haus gewohnt, als Kälte und schlechtes Wetter Teil unserer täglichen Routine waren. Trotzdem ist Luigi eine sehr freundliche, flexible und verständnisvolle Person. Ich konnte wegen des Wetters nicht wie geplant am Projekt arbeiten, aber er hat sich leicht angepasst. Luigi ist auch angenehm, mit ihm zu sprechen und sinnvolle Gespräche zu führen, und er hat mich zu nahegelegenen Dörfern geführt. Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit und habe viel über die italienische und toskanische Kultur gelernt.

Ischia di Castro is a small quiet village on the Italian countryside. Very friendly locals and greeting people Ciao goes a long way. Gigi's home is such a tranquil place. I love cooking in the kitchen and having meals outside, it was summer and overlooking lush of greens where the sound of the birds echoes and a distant sound of the river below. Gigi is a poetic man and a realist. A musician and an artist — he's curious and loves learning cultures from people. I learned a lot from him (like how little garlic Italians use in food 😆 ) It's honestly just beyond words to describe everything ✨️

Staying at Luigi's house was an incredible experience! I could practice a lot in Italian, as well as contribute to his studies in Portuguese. He took me to some places nearby and we had wonderful moments of conversation, sharing about our cultures and experiences. The tasks were very easy and simple. Thank you, Luigi, for having me and offering a unique week!

It was a beautiful experience, he is verry friendly and open. You get the rest you need and he lives in a small village with a breathtaking view. He showed me some amazing spots like a hot spring, a waterfall, and beautiful towns. All of them more known to the locals than to tourist wich made it even better. The work hours where verry little and not hard at all. Mostly you prepare dishes from your home country so he can travel a little in his home 😊. You don't have to be great just try your best. I really recomend this! Thank you Gigi for everything 😊

Gigi is an amazing person, and I had a wonderful time with him. The tasks he gave me were much easier than what we had gone through. Gigi loves art and history, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking about this topics. We also went on various tours to beautiful villages and hot springs, all of which had a unique sense of tranquility, making this the most memorable trip for me.

In my case I was in a place far from everything, where you can only move around by car. There are no shops or anything nearby. I was alone without other volunteers, only with the host. The idea of the experience was to go record content of nearby towns for his boat business, but there was no boat I had a friend who lived close by, so I asked if I could go spend an afternoon with her. He told me I couldn't do that unless he was part of the outing (coming w us). He asked me if it wasn't disrespectful that he hosted me at his house and I went out with someone else without him. Felt not safe

Auch für mich war es eine unangenehme Erfahrung. Nie in der Lage gewesen, ihre Fähigkeiten in der Videobearbeitung und in Webinhalten zu zeigen. Nie kooperiert bei den täglichen Aufgaben im Haushalt. Ich habe ihren anderen Plan, sich ihrer Freundin anzuschließen, nie verhindert, aber ich denke, es war nicht normal, sie darum zu bitten, dies zu tun, nur zwei Tage nach zwei Tagen ohne Aktivität, ohne Mitarbeit bei den Hausarbeiten, und ich als persönlicher Fahrer war nicht einmal zur Besprechung eingeladen. Ich fand es zutiefst respektlos.

La experiencia no es en Matera, es en Sava. La casa está muy alejada: no puedes moverte sin auto. Solicité si podía llevarme a la estación a 1ra hora de mi último día y me dijo q no porque era muy temprano. No tenía en claro cuál era su idea de negocio y eso me hacía sentir confundida: íbamos a sitios que no pertenecían a los itinerarios q él ofrecería. Un día sufrió un disgusto lo cuál tensó el ambiente y me solicitó si podía irme antes porque daba de baja el proyecto. Destaco que fue siempre respetuoso y que un día me acompañó al hospital, tolerando 3 horas de espera, lo cual valoré mucho.

Leider hatte ich von Guadalupe eine andere Haltung erwartet. Abgesehen davon, dass Worldpackers ein Austausch beruflicher Fähigkeiten ist, ist es eine Gelegenheit für kulturellen Austausch und die Möglichkeit, neue Erfahrungen außerhalb unserer Komfortzone zu machen. Leider hatte ich das Gefühl, dass sie nie in dieser Stimmung war, auch wenn sie versuchte, ihre Grundkenntnisse in Video-Schnitt und Content-Erstellung anzubieten. Kreativität braucht Positivität und eine gute Lebenseinstellung, damit sie funktioniert. Daher bin ich über dieses Missverständnis sehr unzufrieden.

I spent one week in Matera and it was awesome! Gigi is a great person! If you love art la the guest house is perfect.
