First of ALL the Guesthouse FAMILY is so kind, respectful, friendly including the 3 boys kids :):):) The tasks & things to do daily is easy and the owners always traying to make your stay good and comfortable :) .The town is pretty and peaceful I really enjoy have long 2~3 hours walking around the city, rivers and mountains its reflashable also the history its cool :).The Owners couple are cool both artists in different ways like he is musician & she is doing many different kind of arts :) its amazing how the guest house & modern the guest house show up nowadays making me thinking how good working the owner

Have the chance to experience the local the guest house culture in Mima was fantastic. If you enjoy nature, quiet and peaceful environments that's the perfect place! The boys are also so sweet! Michiyo-san cooks delicious and tradicional food. It's also an incredible opportunity to learn an practice the guest house. The community in Mima is really kind and friendly. I love it and definitely want to visit them in the future.

It was a very enriching experience! Michiyo san is an amazing host and housekeeper. Yoshiho san was in a work trip most of my stay so unfortunately I didn't get to interact much with him. Michiyo san went up and above for me. With her little actions I could tell she was making her best to make me feel comfortable and making sure I enjoyed my stay. Foods were delicious, sometimes simple but always enough. And I had plenty of time to chill and explore. The people from the town are also very friendly. I would do it again!

I had a wonderful time in Mima. During my short stay there was an art festival to get a glimpse of the guest house culture with Kyogen theater, traditional dances and Hanabi :) Yoshiho-san and Michiyo-san are very welcoming and Michiyo-san is a great cook. I hope to come back for sakura ! ありがとう

I had a very nice experience, I really enjoyed being able to immerse myself in the guest house culture. The people of the city were very warm and always looked for a way to help you. The house is very nice, I loved the area and the family is excellent, the children are very loving and always in a good mood. I highly recommend doing this experience if you want to learn more about their culture and eat the delicious food of Michiyo.

Shibata family is amazing! Michiyo san is a super woman who takes care of everything and also cooks great food. I felt trully immersed on the daily life of this the guest house family. The kids were amazing and my room was really comfortable. I already miss them and I miss Mima, a really small town, but a daily walk along Anabuki river is something that heal your soul. I am so grateful for have had the opportunity to live with them. Whithout a car is not easy to visit the places in Shikoku island, but the guest house with them is really worth! The work is really easy and you will have plenty of time.

Staying and helping and Nodokeya was one of the best experiences ever! I was warmly welcomed by the Shibata family and immediately felt like home. During my stay I was always included in their community and various activities in Mima town, a tiny but pretty charming town. They speak very little English but communication was kind and respectful at all times. The chores were simple and easy to do, I always had time for my self besides my days off. Just not many sighting places close by. The room was super comfy and private. The food was always a delight! Thank U so much to all Nodokeya staff <3

It has been one of the most wonderful experiences in my life. It was my first trip to Japan, the Shibata family welcomed me and taught me about their culture in the most kind and friendly way possible. Michiyo San is a warm and kind person who showed me how beautiful his town and his family are. They are incredible artists with a lot of talent and it has been wonderful to learn and live with them. About the tasks, they are easy and quick to do, if you get confused you don't have to worry, they will guide you to the end, there is a lot of free time to get to know the town and enjoy.

I had a nice stay in Mima, the family is really nice and welcoming! The place is surrounded by nature which is really amazing. Plus the home cooking the guest house food was always so delicious ! I recommend this experience Thank you for everything!

Hello Shibata family!!! The experience was amazing 😍. I was able to learn about country side the guest house culture. Experience a real the guest house cuisine. And the family is the best in town. I will keep the five of them for ever in my heart. I received more than I expected. And I could see the world from Michiyo San eyes. Also the community was kind. So peaceful, so deep experience . I recommend 100% for volunteers that are interested in be deeply connected with a the guest house family and a very unique small city Like Mima. I hope see you again! Happy life family:)
