The experience was really nice, I help with the farm a small shelter at the farm and clean the apartment. I also have a chance to work with at the print shop. Danilo and Filipo are very kind and nice.

Although I had a lovely time in Italy and Filippo is a kind and genuine soul, the experience was different from what I had expected. As Filippo does not live in Sicily himself the farm had not been taken care of in the last 8 months. Few plants were alive (no water) and the farm was full of weeds. In the end, there wasn't much to do for me there so I ended up staying at an appartement a few villages away and helped Filippo with some cleaning tasks in the appartement complex. I didn't mind the work but I had come to Italy to learn more about plants and nature. Still had a great time, though :)

True Sicilian life. We were collecting olives on beautiful farm. Enviroment was perfect, food simple and tasty. Exactly what we needed. There will be always lot of work to do and I hope, always a lot of awesome people to help with it. Thank for great time.

Filippo and Karin are wonderful to be around. For someone that isn't used to farm work I would probably not recommend doing olive picking. I did not like it at first but then at the end and and after it was done I started to miss it alot. Understandably so for me, who doesn't do much of a work outside, I became to like it and my body finally got what it wanted (physical activity and waking up in the actual morning) so I even started to feel more healthy. Can't wait to see you guys again!

Thank you for this great experience :) it was very nice to stay at the farm which is very minimalistic and cosy, perfect to get in touch with nature. Make sure to take the shortcuts when going to Alì Terme and try hitchhiking! You can charge your devices at Todaro (best gelato place you'll find). The beach is very nice and not touristy at all, very calm. Going to towns nearby by train is very easy and reliable. The work was good, it always depends on the season what your tasks will be. Danke an Leaticia&Steven für euren Aufenthalt auf dem Hof und dafür, dass ihr euch um den Ort gekümmert und die Ankunft der anderen Freiwilligen vorbereitet habt.
Leaticia&Steven waren großartig, immer bereit, bei jeder benötigten Aufgabe zu helfen.
Sie kümmerten sich gut um die Pflanzen und ließen sie durch die große Hitze, die wir dieses Jahr in Sizilien hatten, wieder aufleben.

Muy buen lugar!!! único! Se come bien y las peronas vecinas son muy amables y solidarias. Hay que ir dispuesto a acampar y no tener muchas comodidades, pero e trata un poco de eso, de un proyecto en desarrollo. Gracias!

Super lovely setting in the hills of Sicily, about an hours walk from the beach town where you can charge phones and buy food and swim obviously. This town is super local and there aren't many tourists so you get a feel for the traditional way of living. The work was good and you don't have long hours, only thing was the heat (obviously, it'll be hot in Sicily in August) while camping. Other than that it was a super fun way to meet new people and immerse yourself in nature and the hosts are accommodating.

I had an amazing time there, and Filipo is a great person. He gave me options of work, and let me choose what I rather do, he would work with me, or came often to check if everything was fine. Work can be hard, but he is a flexible person, and the hours are respected. The view from the farm is amazing, even more beautiful than the pictures. I highly recommend the experience. The structure needs some improvement though, so if you're a person who likes to be really confortable that might not be the best place for you.

Mila, was soll ich sagen, sie war in jedem Projekt, das sie gemacht hat, großartig.
Es war großartig, sie beim Camp zu haben, und die Reinigung eines schönen Ortes zu organisieren, um einem Baum Leben zu geben.
Sie hat gegen das ganze Unkraut gekämpft, um Platz zu gewinnen :).
Sie ist sehr verantwortungsbewusst und unternehmerisch; sie organisiert ihre Aufgaben sehr gut, um gleichzeitig Spaß zu haben.
Wir haben die von Mila vorgeschlagenen Projekte für das Shelter begonnen, jetzt warten wir darauf, dass sie das Projekt abschließt :).
Ich hoffe, es geht dir gut auf deiner Reise. Du bist auf dem Hof immer willkommen.
