Dies ist ein Eco-Hotel in einer kleinen eng verbundenen Gemeinschaft. Diese Familie ist in der Gemeinschaft bekannt und die Arbeit ist einfach zu erledigen. Es ist wirklich wichtig, die bevorzugten Arbeitszeiten von 10 bis 13 Uhr arbeiten zu können. Außerdem, wenn du einen Computer hast, der hitze- und feuchtigkeitsempfindlich ist... Mach das nicht!!!!

I didn't stay long but during the time I was there I truly felt welcomed by Jolanda and her family! The kids are super nice and I would definitely love to return again.

A great place to chill especially in low season! Nout and Yolanda were super accommodating and helpful Work is typically cleaning, maintaining garden and preparing food for the bar!

I wanted to stay until last week and I'm still here, guess that says a lot ;) The hosts and their kids are super nice, as well as the hostel. The work is diversified (and sometimes hard but just because of the crazy heat here haha); sometimes I clean, prepare food, do gardening or painting. The town is perfect for me, it's small but has many opportunities to meet new people and go out on the weekends. Nature here is amazing and the hostel is just a 5 minute walk to the sea. I can absolutely recommend this place, thank you for having me!! P.S. Bring lots of mosquito repellent haha

My experience at the hostel was truly amazing. The family is super nice and friendly, they make their volunteers feel very welcome, and the hostel itself is really great as well, very clean and spacious and in an amazing location surrounded by nature. I would 100% recommend this host to anyone, looking for a meaningful volunteer experience with fair working conditions and a nice, interesting variety in your tasks, in a very chilled surf town with lovely, super friendly people all around. 11/10 Stars!

Me prometió más tiempo en el lugar y no cumplió, me dijo que le ayudara una semana no mas y a traves de la aplicación me prometio 1 mes o mas, la otra semana que estuve tenía las piezas en reparación y no pude acceder a muchas opciones...el Refrigerador estaba en muy mal estado no podia tener mis alimentos en frio como se deben estar...tuve dolor de estomago durante la estadía...

Leider hat die Freiwilligenarbeit nicht gut funktioniert. Wenn es nicht klappt, werden wir es immer deutlich kennzeichnen und Ihnen erklären, warum wir getan haben, was wir für Sie getan haben. Der Kühlschrank funktioniert einwandfrei; alle unsere Gäste und anderen Freiwilligen lagern dort ihre Lebensmittel, und niemand ist krank geworden. Leider haben Sie wahrscheinlich eine Magen-Darm-Grippe oder etwas sehr Unangenehmes eingefangen. Auf jeden Fall vielen Dank fürs Kommen! Viel Glück für die Zukunft.

Jolanda clearly communicated what she wanted you to do and respected the time commitment. Mompiche is a reallybsafe place with all the basic things you need. You can ealk around anybtime ofvdayborbnight without concern for your safety. The localscarevrealky nice and helpful too.

Excelente lugar, totalmente recomendado. Mompiche, un lugar mágico lleno de buenas personas, excelente ambiente y totalmente seguro con muchísimos lugares agradables y bonitos para conocer. Naut y Jolanda, excelentes anfitriones siempre dispuestos a enseñar, compartir y orientar en todos los sentidos a nosotros los voluntarios; sus hijos, dos niños muy agradables y risueños que alegran cada con sus ocurrencias y compañía. Y referente a las actividades diarias realmente muy sencillas y básicas y siempre guiadas por los anfitriones con todas las medidas de seguridad y equipo necesario.

Rafeal und seine Freundin waren sehr gute Freiwillige. Immer pünktlich und bereit, alle Aufgaben zu übernehmen. Freundlich und liebevoll auch gegenüber unseren Kindern. Leider sind wir zu spät gekommen, um eine Bewertung abzugeben, aber ich würde definitiv 5 Sterne geben! Vielen Dank für all deine Hilfe! Die Mudhouse Hostel-Familie

What a beautiful stay at Mud House. This volunteering exceeded my expectations. The work and hours are more than reasonable, with so much flexibility to explore the area if you want too. It's a short walk from Mompiche beach, a 5 min tuk tuk ride from Playa Negra & a little out of the hussle and bussle of the town so that you can have restful evenings. The bar on site means meeting people and locals is super easy and the hostel itself is nusselled in the mangrove. I really loved my stay here and would recommend future volunteers to come support this property!
