Das Zentrum war wirklich eine der schönsten Freiwilligen-Erfahrungen, die ich bis jetzt gemacht habe! Man hat sich direkt wohl gefühlt und sowohl die Mitarbeiter, als auch die anderen Workies waren super lieb und freundlich zu einem! Wenn man Hilfe brauchte, hat man diese stets bekommen und es gab eine tolle Atmosphäre. Man hat sich durch Spaziergänge, Wälder und Ausflüge sehr mit der Natur im Einklang gefühlt und ich konnte wirklich zur Ruhe kommen. Auch das Essen war unglaublich lecker und da ich vegan bin, gab es unzählige Optionen für mich! Ich würde immer wieder kommen!! Danke für alles :)

Absolutely excellent experience. Since the day I arrived to the Center, I felt at peace. The environment is gorgeous, and there's a ton of small beautiful towns to visit in the surroundings. The job I fulfilled was utmost enjoyable, and it did not feel like a burden at all. The schedules are generous and the staff really listens to what you say. Everyone was kind and generous and willing to share their experience and have fun in all sorts of activities. And the food! The food was truly remarkable. I would definitely repeat this experience, no doubt.

I had an amazing time in the Center!! The environment itself is beautiful, it was easy to get to know the other volunteers & staff and the work is easy enough :) Also got to practice my German, which was nice!

It's one of the best places to make friends, enjoy nature and chill in the German countryside. The staff was always very kind, especially Annegret and Tommy :) The food is amazing, with delicious vegetarian and vegan buffets and desserts, such as the mythic and tasty Kartoffelkuchen (Potato cake). The work is well organised, with clear communication, and the workload was usually low to moderate (as I went on August). In your free time, you can enjoy free yoga, meditation, sauna and the nature pond! I'd love to go back someday. Highly recommended, especially for first-time volunteers! ❤️

If you want to meet a small number of international workers, live a repetitive daily routine, and live in the beautiful countryside-going on evening walks, bike, and journal/read with a view of the fields during sunset, the Center is for you. I loved the desserts (but personally did not have the healthiest diet here). Sometimes there were small problems with certain people, but I believe it's a learning experience! Work is flexible, and you can travel during a weekend aswell! (Berlin/hamburg). Kind people, only I wish there was more the Center teaching. 1 month was good, thank you the Center 🌳💗💗

This experience was amazing! I meet so many people that I will never forget, as volunteers and workers of the place, I'd like to go back one day, I felt like home The food is great! If you're vegan or vegetarian is a paradise. Work is not hard and depending on the shift you have or the people you're working with sometimes it really files. This place is in the middle of nowhere so the transportation can be confusing but it's really not hard to get there! If you love nature it's the perfect place for you ! I really recommend going to the Center ^_^

I had a wonderful experience in the Center highly recommend it! The location is beautiful and remote, so be aware that transit connections are difficult. The experience is primarily in English, but there is a German class once a week and many people to converse with. The rooms are also comfortable, with no more than six people in a big space. You will work different jobs than the one you applied for and it's possible to work longer hours due to the workforce being mostly volunteers. The people here are some of the best I have ever met. I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life!

You’re right—we’re beautifully situated in the countryside, yet right in the heart of Germany; that means you can reach many major cities by train within two or three hours. You’re also right that overtime sometimes occurs, but that time is compensated for later with time off. And we all try to speak German as much as possible here—and by "we," I mean our permanent, paid staff, who far outnumber our interns ;-)

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I couldn't have asked for better. I worked in the kitchen; the work was not hard at all and the employees made every shift enjoyable. Everyone was so welcoming and fun to talk to. Definitely going to miss the Center!

Nice experience, staff are great and friendly, work hours are fully respected as there's a specific schedule. Tea time (at 2pm) always has fresh homemade cake which I am definitely missing after i left 😂 The only thing I think should be improved is how much they're dependent on volunteers to keep the hotel running, as they are understaffed if no volunteers are there and that rises tension between the paid staff and the owner.

In the Center I learned a lot and had a great time. I felt welcomed and everyone was really nice so I could work and chill with kind people! I won't forget them. Also there was some workaways from diverse countries so it was an interesting experience too! Accommodation was pretty comfortable. Additionally I was able to ride a bike and visit beautiful towns. Finding gnomes in Hitzacker was so exciting. I could take a German classes too! Tasks were a little bit hard but not difficult and always manageable. I'm gonna visit again someday. Thank you for everything the Center!
