Sammatz is a beautiful place with great people, for me it was a great experience where I was able to connect with many people and make friends. The tasks are quite interesting and you adapt easily. It is a fascinating place that everyone should visit in their lives.

Estoy segura de que es la mejor experiencia de mi vida. Hice muchos amigos de diferentes culturas y países. El ambiente de trabajo es muy lindo, sin importar el área. La convivencia es muy linda y fácil de llevar, en la Blue House siempre hay música y linda energía. Las horas de trabajo se respetan muy bien, y tienen en cuenta el área en el que te gustaría estar ya que puede variar entre el café, construcción, cocina, etc. Estoy muy feliz con esta experiencia y la super recomiendo🥰

My time in Sammatz was amazing. I loved the experience and I would like to come back. Here in Sammatz, I learnt a lot because I did a lot of activities. People in the community are special and welcoming. Sometimes, I asked a lot of questions when I forgot about something, but they were always there and attentive. I can say that I have found a new family away from home. Thanks a lot for everything.

It was an amazing experience, I do recommend it. In summer, they have at least a hundred, and in winter 30 approximately. I met a lot of Spanish speaking Latinos, Brazilians and germans. It is a place where you can talk about any subject and someone will want to talk to you about it. My tips to you, future traveller: Bring flip flops for your feet(having wet socks isn't nice). There is no microwave, but there is a dishwasher. Take your shower downstairs in the blue house, there is a more broken showers upstairs. They will ask you to clean after yourself, try to keep as tidy as possible.

I had the best time in Sammatz! The place is full of volunteers from all over the world, I felt super comfortable the whole time and it's not hard to make good friends:) the work shifts change every day, communication is awesome so if there are any problems you can just talk them out. I felt like I was at home, it was my first experience volunteering and I would suggest this place to anyone:) text me if you would like to know anything in particular

Liebe Serena, wir möchten dir ganz herzlich danken! Wir waren sehr glücklich, dich bei uns zu haben; du bist eine sehr offene und fröhliche Person. Du hast dich sehr gut mit den anderen Freiwilligen verstanden und konntest viele neue Freunde gewinnen. Du hast die verschiedenen Arbeitsbereiche kennengelernt, besonders im Café, und warst eine große Unterstützung. Alles Gute für dich, und wir freuen uns immer, dich wiederzusehen!

What an amazing place! I loved every minute (except perhaps cleaning the food truck 😜) and I can't wait to come back, hopefully next year. There are so many areas to get involved in, and the friendliness, helpfulness and general joie de vivre of the place is contagious. Highly recommended to make new friends and add a wide range of experiences to your CV.

My experience at Sammatz was a month of many reflections, social interactions & personally deepened awareness. I came to Michelshof without many expectations except that a month felt like such a long time. What I found was a center for ecology, structure & social life that made four weeks feel like an eternity from the learning perspective but a moment when the month passed far too quickly. The fact that I want to go back to Sammatz as soon as I can speaks for itself. If you search for a space to grow, learn & get to know yourself better both in your own & others company, Sammatz is for you!

A comunidade mora em meu coração!! Realmente, ao sair da comunidade fiquei com um sentimento de saudade. Saudade da equipe da construção, saudade de trabalhar na construção, do café descontraído, dos amigos do mundo inteiro que se encontram nesse local. Deixo uma que poderiam melhorar e que eu vi alguns voluntários relatando.. 1- organização e limpeza da cozinha… por ser muita gente, acredito que poderia ter uma polícia 24h ali..rsrs Um grande abraço a Antônia, Anna, Kamyla, Camilo, Janosh e Esmeralda.

This was my first volunteering experience and it didn't fit my expectations but exceeded them. The togetherness feeling in Sammatz is genuine—everyone brings their individuality to collaborate and make it feel as a community. From meeting incredible people and forming friendships, to not worrying about food and a bed to sleep on (you literally don't spend a penny), you feel taken care of. The jobs are nice, you learn something new every day while having fun and knowing you're contributing to a purpose. The only downside to Sammatz is having to leave, but knowing you'll be back.
