Ich habe im Wundergarten volontiert und insgesamt eine gemischte Erfahrung gemacht. Der Ort ist schön, aber sehr abgelegen, weil er in den Bergen liegt; es gibt eigentlich nirgendwo hinzugehen, außer an deinem einzigen freien Tag, sodass du fast immer vor Ort bist. Die Arbeitszeiten sind lang und beginnen typischerweise um 8 Uhr morgens, mit etwa 6–8 Stunden aktiver Arbeit pro Tag. Du sollst auch den ganzen Tag über für Check-ins oder Notfälle verfügbar sein, sodass es sich anfühlen kann, als wärst du ständig im Einsatz. Die Leute sind freundlich und zuvorkommend, und die Erfahrung kann lohnend sein, wenn du es genießt, in ein Projekt vollständig einzutauchen.

I really enjoyed my time in the guest house, unfortunately I had to leave early because of some family matters but the time I spent there was amazing. The people in Gratteri are so welcoming and really made the trip for me.

The hotel is located about 40 minutes from Cefalu, the community is lovely. Nature, and the sights are wonderful and it's great for learning Italian. You will work more hours than agreed, and communication was really lacking. The house for volunteers only had running water in the morning and the bathroom didn't work.
