Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit mit Chris als Gastgeberin. Sie hat gesunde und schmackhafte Mahlzeiten angeboten und konnte einige Intoleranzen/Präferenzen berücksichtigen. Der nahegelegene Fluss war perfekt, um sich an heißen Tagen abzukühlen.
Ich sah Tukane, Riesenechsen und viele Affen im Hinterhof, und viele Faultiere am Pier in der Stadt.
Das Bett war nicht so bequem wie das, was ich gewohnt bin, aber es war auch nicht das Schlimmste. Change spricht Englisch sehr gut und hat uns alle definitiv mit Respekt und Freundlichkeit behandelt.

Ich empfehle diese Erfahrung sehr jenen, die in die lokale Kultur von Sarapiquí und Costa Rica eintauchen möchten. Mit Christ habe ich unglaublich nette Leute aus der Gegend kennengelernt, und wir haben an sehr unterhaltsamen und lehrreichen Umweltaktivitäten teilgenommen. Ich konnte viel über Nachhaltigkeit, Ökologie und die Flora und Fauna der Region lernen. Zweifellos hat diese Erfahrung einen sehr positiven Einfluss auf mich gehabt, und ich empfehle sie sehr. Christ ist eine unglaubliche Person: unterhaltsam, freundlich, sehr aufmerksam und immer verfügbar für jede Frage oder Notwendigkeit, die ich hatte. Außerdem kocht Christ sehr gut! Und die Wohnung ist ziemlich komfortabel.

Christ ist eine so schöne Seele. Es hat mir wirklich gefallen, sie kennenzulernen, und ich bin sehr an ihren Ideen und Zukunftsplänen interessiert. Sie ist sehr motiviert, nachhaltige Veränderungen zu schaffen, und kümmert sich offensichtlich sehr um Menschen. Unsere Woche war aufgrund einiger unvorhergesehener Situationen etwas chaotisch, weshalb ich nicht viel von der Arbeit erledigen konnte, über die wir gesprochen hatten... dennoch bin ich froh, sie getroffen zu haben, und sie ist auch eine großartige Spanischlehrerin; es fiel mir leicht, von ihr zu lernen, und ich spürte, dass mein Spanisch sich verbessert hat. Die Gegend ist auch schön. Ich würde sie empfehlen!

I stayed with Christ's mom and dad ( Sandra & Angel) at their place and it was an amazing experience. Since the beginning Christ helped me by answering the questions I had, especially, with those questions about how to get to her mom's finca. Now, Sandra and Angel were amazing hosts for me. They made me feel safe and they taught me skills that I can use for myself in the future. Communication was key and I'm grateful that I met them. They are awesome! The place is a little far from the small town, but you can get there by walking and you will see beautiful views! You will love it here!

I spent two amazing weeks with Christ. She is very lovely and welcoming! The tasks are pretty easy and Christ is very flexible about the work and time. As she just moved, we didn't actually did much about permaculture but we helped her with the volunteer's house decoration, build the fence, helped her during the architectural class, and we also had the opportunity to work at her mom's farm. Everything was very nice and interesting. Thank you so much Christ for the time you shared with us, take care ✨️

Christ is an incredible and VERY kind host. The work was very easy, and often fun. And is flexible if you have anything you're committed to. I learned so much in the 10 days I was there! But I will say from an honest point, that not everything that was advertised was immediately available or accessible. And thats mainly due to it not having been updated as she recently moved into a new house. So if there's something specific you're wanting from the experience like dance classes or something, I would ask Christ ahead of time to see if she can make arrangements for it :)

Hallo! Du und Fountine wart ihr die letzten zwei Freiwilligen dieser Saison. Ich musste das Programm stoppen, weil ich an einem großen Projekt arbeiten musste, um einen Supermarkt zu bauen; mit diesem Geld war es möglich, einen Kühlschrank und eine neue Waschmaschine für das Programm zu kaufen.
Ich habe die Änderung mit dem Neuen vorgenommen und jetzt bin ich bereit, wieder mehr Freiwillige zu empfangen.

I was volunteering for a week on my own at FCR, I will forever value the time I got to spend with Christ. She is an amazing person who you can learn a lot from, assisting her with her design project in the city and then spending lots of time in nature was the perfect balance for me. Her pets are so sweet, I miss her two dogs Frida and Picasso !

This was my first Worldpackers experience as well as my first time traveling alone outside of my home country, and I could not of asked for a batter experience. Kris, the host, is such a joyful, kind, smart women and was amazing with helping me with transportation and any questions/concerns that I had, and the food was delicious. She taught me a lot about Costa Rica, and helped me improve my Spanish. I learned so much with this experience, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves nature and animals.

Termine participando de otro proyecto dentro de los de Christ y no este, pero fue hermoso. La familia es super recibidora, la finca es hermosa y la comida de Sandra riquísima. Fuimos a una catarata, al rio, aprendí un poco sobre cabras, tuve la oportunidad de montar a caballo y el trabajo fue divertido. Sandra, Angel y Ronald hicieron que una sola semana fuera una experiencia inolvidable, al igual que Saga y Claudia, voluntarias con las que compartí la estadía. Mil abrazos para todos y para Perla, King y Escapista 🫶🏼

During this experience, I was able to learn a lot and take a break from the constant movement of the contemporary world. Although I did not stay as long as I would have hoped to, I would have liked to participate more in giving back to the community such as teaching English. Nevertheless, I learned a lot and it was so rejuvenizing being able to connect with nature
