Ich habe nur zwei Wochen bei Glyn und Dan verbracht, aber sie waren wunderbare Gastgeber. Wirklich engagiert und gesprächig, ich hatte eine so schöne Zeit mit ihnen. Wir haben hauptsächlich etwas Gartenarbeit gemacht, was erfolgreich war. Sie haben mich am Wochenende oder an meinen letzten Tagen ausgeführt, und ich hatte viel Spaß mit ihnen. Pancho ist so ein süßer Hund und hat meinen Aufenthalt noch bereichert. Ich würde immer wieder zu ihnen zurückkommen!

Vom ersten Moment an fühlte sich ihr Zuhause wie ein zweites Zuhause an, und das Verlassen fiel unglaublich schwer.
Glyn und Danny sind ein lustiges, künstlerisches Paar mit offenem Geist, geprägt von vielen Lebenserfahrungen, und es gibt so viel, von ihnen zu lernen. Pancho (er mag wie ein Hund wirken, aber in Wirklichkeit ist er ein kleiner Mensch) wird dir das Herz stehlen, und du wirst keine andere Wahl haben, als nach Teignmouth zurückzukehren, um sie wiederzusehen.
Die Aufgaben waren einfach und überschaubar, und Glyn war sehr flexibel, was Zeitpläne und Änderungen betrifft.
Das Streichen des Schlafzimmers war spaßig und bereichernd.

Es war mir eine große Freude, dich bei Worldpackers zu beherbergen, Laura. Das Wunderbare an Worldpackers ist die Freundschaften, die wir auf dem Weg schließen. Ich freue mich sehr, dass wir am Anfang deiner Worldpacker-Reise standen. Pancho fragt auch, wann du wieder zurück bist, haha!

This was my first time volunteering and I had a lovely experience! Both Glyn and Danny were very welcoming and made sure I felt at home :) The tasks were pretty simple, I mostly just helped around the house and did whatever little tasks needed to be done at the moment. Teignmouth is a lovely city and there's some really nice places to explore, Glyn gave me good tips on where to go on my free time! And of course can't forget Pancho, what a unique little dog, miss him already! Thank you for a great two weeks!

This was my second time travelling through Worldpackers and the first staying at someone's home, which may seem it intimidating, but it wasn't at all. Glyn and Dan are very welcoming and comfortable sharing their space with other people. Tasks were simple and manageable, and Teignmouth is beautiful and close to other small towns that are worth a visit. Overall, a really good experience. Thank you!

I'm very grateful for my stay with Glyn, Dan & Pancho. They were very generous and caring hosts who really made an effort to accomodate for me. I enjoyed the work I was helping them with & they were very grateful for my contribution which was nicely rewarding. I came to them when I was feeling a bit homesick in my travels & they were very conscious of my feelings & gave me space but also support when I needed it. They were also great at actively suggesting things I could do to fill my time, explore the local areas & meet new people if I so wished. Their profile description is very accurate.

Wir waren sehr froh, dich bei uns zu haben, und obwohl es schade ist, dass du dich manchmal Heimweh hattest, freut es mich, dass wir dir den richtigen Raum und die Unterstützung bieten konnten. Es ist normal, solche Gefühle zu haben, besonders in den ersten Jahren, wenn man von den Menschen entfernt ist, die man liebt. Du warst ein perfekter Gast, und genau das, was wir zu der Zeit brauchten! Vielen Dank für alles, was du für uns getan hast, und ich hoffe, wir hören von dir auf deinen Reisen!

It was an absolute pleasure staying with Glyn and Danny! Both were incredibly welcoming to their home, and were keen to help me explore Teignmouth and the surrounding areas! Teignmouth which seems small at first, offers lots to explore, with gorgeous art galleries, and lively pubs! And as the weather warms up, lots of beach to walk by and if you don't mind a chilly dip to swim in! The work is fair, and whilst occasional hard, if you are willing to put in the effort, Glyn and Danny make sure that in return you are well looked after, and have some really memorable days off!!

This was an amazing opportunity!! First off, Glyn & Dan were beyond fantastic!! Very loving and welcoming! As soon as I met them I knew I was going to love them! Second off!! The king of the house Pancho was the best! Once he warms up to you, he'll always want to be around you! He loves playing and being chased! He is the most handsome king in all of the land! The work was very easy and straightforward. I typically started work in the late morning and ended in early afternoon. Then you have the rest of the day! The beach is only about fifteen minutes walk. And tons of pubs! Highly recommend!

Vielen Dank für deine freundlichen Worte, Michael. Wir haben es wirklich geliebt, dich hier zu haben, all die Gespräche und das Lachen, das wir zusammen hatten! Wir waren sehr glücklich, deine späten Morgenstart-Präferenzen berücksichtigen zu können. Und wir bewunderten, wie du dich in das lokale Leben gestürzt hast mit Yoga am Strand, Linie-Tanzen und Drachenbau-Clubs! Übrigens hast du den Sonnenschein mitgenommen, also komm bald zurück! It was my first volunteering and I'm sure that it was the best experience. You were kind and patients to me from the first day to the last. Always I will be grateful with you. Dan thank you for teach me to play the guitar. Glyn thanks for the good meals and for the english lessons. Pancho became a good friend to me, thanks Pancho for dance with me the last day. 😂. I definitely enjoyed my stay with you. Glyn, Dan, Pancho, Teignmouth and the sea will be in my heart forever. By the way, I miss you and I miss saturdays when we went to visit new places. 💖 I hope to see you soon. 🤗

My experience during the voluntary work was very rewarding, Glyn and Dan are very kind people who are always looking out for you and help you in any situation, the jobs are very rewarding, from general cleaning of the house, painting, varnishing, to taking care of the little dog Pancho who is very naughty and funny, Teignmouth is a small, quiet and pretty town with a lot of history, a perfect place to immerse yourself in nature and the daily life of an English family.

I spent a month with Glyn, Danny and Pancho and I couldn't have asked for anything better as my first world packers experience. Glyn and Danny were so inviting and instantly made me feel welcomed and they loved to show me the best that Devon had to offer. The work tasks required were completely reasonable and they were always checking in with me to make sure I felt comfortable with whatever they asked for me to help with :))
