Meine Zeit als Freiwilliger war eine wirklich lohnende Erfahrung. Das Team besteht aus wunderbaren, gutherzigen Menschen, die mich während meines Aufenthalts herzlich willkommen hießen. Der Unterricht war fesselnd und sehr spaßig, und jeder Moment lohnte sich. Ich empfehle dieses Programm jedem, der nach einer unterstützenden und lebendigen Umgebung sucht.

Ich hatte eine wirklich lustige und angenehme Zeit mit den Lehrern und Schülern. Der Unterricht an sich ist nicht wirklich Lehre; es besteht eher darin, vor der Klasse eine Diashow über sich selbst zu präsentieren. Die Atmosphäre der Unterkunft war lustig und entspannt, besonders das Zusammenleben mit den anderen Studenten und dem Personal. Es wird auch stark darauf Wert gelegt, Inhalte für soziale Medien zu erstellen, was ermüdend sein kann. Sie sind flexibel mit deinen Planungen – ich bin für 3 Tage nach Yogyakarta gegangen, statt loszureisen. Bekasi ist etwas enttäuschend, aber es ist schön, zu den anderen Standorten zu gehen und während des Freiwilligenprogramms neue Leute kennenzulernen. Danke, Leute :)

Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit, als Freiwillige bei Golden English zu arbeiten. Der Unterricht und die Schüler waren super spaßig und größtenteils genau das, was ich daraus gemacht habe. Ich habe es genossen, mit den jüngeren Schülern Spiele zu spielen und mit den älteren Schülern interessante Gespräche über die englische Kultur zu führen, wobei ich auch viel über Indonesien von ihnen gelernt habe! Rifki, Ancel und Sulton gehörten zu denen, die unter anderem großartig dabei halfen, bei all den Kleinigkeiten zu unterstützen, jemanden zu haben, an den ich mich wenden konnte, wenn ich etwas brauchte, und einfach nette Leute zu sein! Danke, dass ihr mich auf die Reisen rund um Jakarta mitgenommen habt; das war eine großartige Erfahrung!

Wirklich eine einzigartige Erfahrung!! Ich würde dieses Projekt jedem empfehlen😊 Ich habe mich sofort wie Teil der großen Familie gefühlt und alle sind so freundlich und liebenswert, ich kann es buchstäblich nicht in Worte fassen! Ich bin super dankbar, dass ich hier einen Monat lang die Chance bekommen habe, und ich wünsche dem gesamten Golden English-Team viel Erfolg & Glück🤍 Vielen Dank :)

I had a great experience volunteering at the school! All the staff, teachers, admin, and students were very friendly, welcoming, and always there to help me with anything I needed. I met some great people during my time here. The teaching consisted mainly of a cultural exchange between you and the students, which suited me as I had no prior teaching experience. You get to visit classes of a range of ages, from kids to adults, a few times a day, and I liked that the teaching sometimes took place in different branches around the city. I would definitely recommend!

The experience I had at the school was one that I'll never forget. It was truely get opportunity for as it opened doors for my future in teaching. The crew, the teachers and the students were always friendly and respectful. the school went above an ad beyond to make sure I was comfortable and to make sure I had no issues with anything. I had a beautiful experience volunteering at the school, and I really recommend it to other travelers. I stayed with amazing young people, shared the same space, joined activities, and learned from them while having fun. The place feels super local — no tourists around, just a genuine community, which made the experience even more special. Everyone was kind and treated me so well. If you're looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity where you can connect, learn, and contribute, this is a great choice!

My time at the school has been fun and I met amazingly kind people. They take super good care of you, providing you a private room, 3 meals a day, and laundry service. You work 6 days a week, teaching 2-4 classes or either children, teens, or adults. You also may be asked to create video content with them. Regarding the “trips around Jakarta”, I would have low expectations. I'm sure if you have a destination in mind where you'd like to go, they will happily accompany you, but you should take that decision on yourself. Overall, it's a great experience and I will miss everyone there!

I had a great time at the school! I can't recommend this experience enough to someone who is looking to teach english and dive into the indonesian local lifestyle. Both staff and students are super friendly and will help you along the experience. The schedule consists of teaching 6 days a week and 2-3 classes each day. You will get to teach in different schools but mostly the one located next to your accommodation. During my stay, I got the chance to visit the Istiqlal mosk, practice some Batik art and go to Pari island. Thanks again for the experience and hopes everyone is well !

My time here was amazing. The staff and teachers were really helpful, and you can always ask someone. You get to teach students of all ages, so you get to know the locals. I got really close to the students I lived with, and leaving is now harder than I thought it would be. I often had free time when the students had classes, but this time can be used for lesson planning, relaxing or calling home. I also got to see different parts of Jakarta, and some tourist places. The food is great, and they listen to your request. Also, a special thanks to Ocho for the secret coffee stash.
