Ich bin wahrscheinlich während der falschen Zeit gereist, denn in dem Dorm Raum, war lange Zeit NIEMAND außer mir, wodurch es ziemlich einsam wurde nach einer Zeit. Dimitris und das Personal sind aber total lieb und man hat sich gut verstanden, die Stadt am Abend ist sehr lebendig und ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass man, wenn man Leute um sich herum hat, eine wunderbare Erfahrung haben kann :)

Ich habe diese Erfahrung wirklich genossen. Ich habe viele Leute kennengelernt und hatte die Gelegenheit, Teil der lokalen Kultur zu werden. Dimitris war immer freundlich, zugänglich und hilfsbereit. Es war eine Freude, dort zu bleiben. Ich hatte viel Spaß, habe neue Freunde gefunden, und die Aufgaben waren sehr einfach, hauptsächlich bei der Rezeption zu helfen und Wäsche zu machen. Man teilt sich zwar ein Zimmer mit anderen Gästen, aber Dimitris ist sehr verständnisvoll, flexibel und immer bereit, bei jedem Problem oder Anliegen zu helfen. Er sorgt wirklich dafür, dass sich jeder wohl fühlt

Ich hatte eine gute Zeit in Trikala, obwohl ich aus persönlichen Gründen früher gehen musste. Ich stimme auch mit anderen Kommentaren überein, dass man dies als kurzen Aufenthalt empfehlen könnte, aber dennoch gibt es außerhalb der Stadt noch Dinge, die man mit dem Bus erreichen kann, z. B. den Strand und Kalambaka. In Bezug auf die Arbeit war es eine sehr einfache Aufgabe im Empfang und in der Wäscherei, und Dimitris war sehr flexibel mit dem Zeitplan, was ich zu schätzen wusste. Ich muss sagen, die Kommunikation ließ manchmal zu wünschen übrig, wie als ich ankam, mit sehr wenigen Informationen in den ersten Tagen. Eine Warnung: Die Kücheneinrichtungen sind sehr begrenzt, was ich schwierig fand.

The stay at the hostel in Trikala was very peaceful and wholesome. If you are looking for a quiet environment in the middle of rural Greece, this is the place for you. The tasks were very accessible and the timetable was flexible, Dimitris gave us a lot of freedom and suggestions on activities to do, and I connected with a lot of local peoples in an authentic way it would not have been possible otherwise. I really recommend the experience!

Dimitris was a great host! Tasks were easy, just doing the laundry and keeping the reception open, and times were flexible. Visited the hostel which was amazing! Trikala is a cozy town but not that much to do so wouldn't recommend staying more than two weeks.

The experience was great. The place is perfect for someone who have to work remotely. The only thing is that if you stay more than two weeks, you will have nowhere to visit or to do after like 2 weeks. Their is no much to do on town. But the host and the works is not a problem at all.

I've had a wonderful experience! Trikala is a cute little town right next to the hostel and apart from visiting the hostel there is not too much to do around. My stay was in October when there weren't too many international travelers so depending on the season you might have a lot of time to yourself. The work itself was not hard at all. Just a few check-ins, laundry and keeping the dorm room clean. Communication was good and Dimitris was always trying to recommend activities and helped in planning my weekend trip. All in all I felt very welcomed and can absolutely recommend it! :)

I spent a whole month in Trikala with two of my friends helping Dimitris in the hostel, he is an amazing host and was very helpful towards us, always helping with the buses or any question that we had, the work was very easy and the only thing that was kind of heavy was the laundry, nonetheless if you are accompanied or listening the music the time goes by very quickly, I recommend going to Platamonas if you have the chance, it is very beautiful and it has beaches. Close to Trikala is a river so you can go there when it gets hot, the city has also a lot of social night life.

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel, it is a quiet place to rest for a week or two, the work is mostly reception or laundry but was quite a light workload while I was there and dimitris is very flexible with hours, meaning I got to have some time off and explore other areas. It's quite a quiet town but has a 25-30 minute bus ride to Kalabaka meaning I could hike most evenings!

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel! Dimitris was so lovely and gave me great recommendations for visiting surrounding areas and restaurants. The work was really chill, just checking people in and laundry, and I met some really lovely people here! I had a really great experience and would recommend this to others if you are looking for a smaller town and like hiking and nature :)
