Manish und seine Familie waren großartig! Sie haben mir bei allem geholfen, was ich brauchte. Jeden Tag bekam ich Mittag- und Abendessen. Das Einzige, was etwas enttäuschend war, war das Wetter; es war dort sehr heiß, daher war es ziemlich schwierig, ein Wandgemälde zu malen und die anderen Dinge draußen zwischen 11:00 und 18:00 Uhr zu machen. Ich hätte das Wetter für die betreffenden Daten vorher prüfen sollen. Aber trotzdem hatte ich eine schöne Zeit, wir haben einige coole Orte in der Umgebung besucht, die Stadt ist klein und ich habe keinen Touristen in der Nähe gesehen, außerdem war ich der einzige Freiwillige. Und erneut war ich außerhalb der Saison dort. Ich habe mich dort wie ein Einheimischer gefühlt. Danke, Manish!

Wir haben einen Monat lang ehrenamtlich im My Friends Hostel gearbeitet und eine unglaubliche Erfahrung gemacht. Wir wurden sofort herzlich empfangen und integriert, und es fühlte sich wirklich an wie ein zweites Zuhause. Manish schuf eine Umgebung, in der sich alle Künstler und Freiwilligen unabhängig von ihren unterschiedlichen Fähigkeiten wertgeschätzt fühlen und Teil eines Teams sein können. Außerdem konnten wir außerhalb des Hostels die lokale Kultur erleben, die Umgebung erkunden und wunderbare Menschen kennenlernen. Wir schätzen diese Erfahrung wirklich sehr und würden sie jedem empfehlen!

The three weeks I spent at the hostel was truly a magical experience that I will never forget. Manish, his friends, and his family are all so welcoming and kind. His wife, Khushbu, is such a fantastic cook! The food is always so good. Manish is a man with soo many great ideas for Nepal, and the world. He is also always so accommodating and was so welcoming right from the start. He can also help you to see other parts of Nepal if you desire! Just let him know. I have made unforgettable memories and friends for life at the hostel. I cannot thank Manish enough for my time there.

I've created unforgettable memories here—tasted incredible food, experienced authentic local activities, made lots of local friends, pushed past my own limits, met amazing artists and musicians, ventured into the jungle, climbed through caves, hiked mountains, and did so many things for the very first time. The host, Manish, is one of the friendliest people I've ever met—he truly made me feel at home. If you're someone who appreciates life, creates art, loves nature, and values creativity, this is the perfect place to volunteer.

Manish was the most generous, kind host. He went above & beyond for me & his other volunteers to ensure our needs and wants were met - he was thoughtful about the activities he booked, he made sure I was taken care of when I fell ill & needed help with my visa. He introduced us to local people and places, spoke patiently about the Nepalese culture, without judgement, and with such passion. His ideas are incredible & he really wants to help communities in Nepal. He is making a difference & encouraging people to create & spread kindness Beautiful hostel, beautiful people, amazing experience.

At my arrival i was greeted kindly, my room was cozy and we had a nice conversation. His wife was preparing absolutely delicious meals. The food is definitely one of my favorites. Over the course of two month i met many locals and did a few tours. The holistic therapy and yoga sessions where not provided. Towards the end of my stay we had an argument, after asking what i did wrong or what i had done to offend him i got no real answer. After that event the mood changed and the friendship was now worth nothing or non existent. We came to an arrangement in the end. I guess its cool for ashortstay

During my two weeks volunteering in Manish's Hostel. I got to experience many cultural exchanges like the Chhat Festival where I was invited to celebrate with Manish's family and children. I was also introduced to many good Nepali dishes by Manish's wife who is a great cook! In addition, I learned new skills for developing and designing the hostel website as well as working with Manish and Nitsha in their eco-printing workshop. Overall, I recommend to stay in Manish's place if you're interested in volunteering your time and learning new skills while engaging with the local culture at once!

The family welcomed me in a very warm way. I felt taken care of and had a pleasant time. the food was amazing!!! the enviroment inspired me to connect with my creativity, manish is a man that is flowing with ideas. so if you look for a place where you can relax, create and experience a realistic nepalese household, this is the place 🤗
