If you’re looking for an authentic experience far of tourism, Puémape is for you. It’s a small village of fisherman where you can rest and enjoy the empty waves for surf (perfect for all levels of surfing).

Selling desserts in two shift (10:30-12:30 and 15:30 - 17:30) is a very laidback job. You will cover the sales route along the beach by bicycle.

You’ll also help prepare the desserts; it doesn’t matter if you’ve never made them before.

On the quieter days helping out at our small eco-hostel (recycling, organic waste management, and room cleaning).


Note:
Puémape is a remote location and not for everyone (special for those one who look for vacations time and also those ones who dont have any idea of what means voluntaring), as not everyone is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle or the crowds. As a natural setting, Puémape offers a profound silence an atmosphere that many people might find uncomfortable. However, if you enjoy challenges and stepping out of your comfort zone, it is well worth it.

Activities here revolve around nature; there is no social life, no cafés, no bars, or no clubs (but we can make it hapens in the house haha).

If you are only looking to save money on travel costs by volunteering, please do not come.

The meaning of volunteering is very important to us, and if you share this view, then welcome: "Volunteering means expanding my comfort zone and doing new things some I might not like, and others I discover I actually enjoy. However, it usually far exceeds our expectations, and in this context, we need to possess resilience. With this attitude, we will make the most of the entire experience, and I believe we will have achieved the main goal of volunteering: transformative experiences.

Regeln

Commitment, Schedule & Responsibility Policy

Please respect the pre-established schedule and agreed duration of your stay.

A financial penalty of 35 soles per day will be applied if you decide to leave before the scheduled date. This penalty applies for each remaining day until the originally agreed end of the volunteer period.

This measure exists to compensate the time, organization, and energy required to find a replacement and reorganize ongoing operations.

Your space has been specifically reserved for you. In doing so, other guests and potential volunteers were declined based on your commitment.

Volunteering here requires adaptability, initiative, and a genuine service-oriented attitude. If a volunteer is unable to adapt due to reasons such as unwillingness to make an effort, resistance to leaving their comfort zone, lack of proactivity, or lack of commitment to the project, they will be respectfully relieved of their position and invited to continue their journey elsewhere.

In such cases, the same financial penalty will apply.
