¡Entendido! Aquí tienes la versión ajustada y mejorada con “remodelación de su casa”: ⸻ Muy buena experiencia para mi primer voluntariado. Yolanda estuvo siempre atenta y disponible. Me asignó una tarea para colaborar en la remodelación de su casa histórica, muy bien ubicada en el centro de Burriana (Castellón), cerca de tiendas y servicios. Es un proyecto muy bonito que busca conservar parte de la historia de la comunidad, y me encantó poder aportar a ello.

I loved staying with Heike! It fits me perfectly to work together for a few hours and then you can do whatever you decide with the rest of the day. The work comes with huge opportunities to be creative and truly be part of this big renovation process. Heike and everyone I met were very welcoming and I really felt at home. The surroundings have lots of possibilities to do whatever you want. You can go to Valencia or Castellon for cheap with train or stay in Burriana with the group. Really recommend it and hope to come back some day!

The experience here was not quite as expected and needs quite a few improvements before I can recommend it. The house itself is falling apart and needs much more work than volunteers can possibly provide before it is safe and comfortable. While in theory the experience sounds interesting, the lack of basic amenities for cooking and living didn't make staying at this place worth it.

In the lead up the host (Yolanda) was appalling at communicating, and when she did get back to me it was to tell me, less than a week before I was due to be at the experience, that she wouldn't actually be there herself. Instead it was another man who she'd found on facebook. Already there was a major issue as this man hadn't been verified or anything by Worldpackers. Once I arrived, the house itself was a health and safety risk. There's exposed wiring everywhere, holes in the roof, no heating or insulation and not even the basic amenities like a kettle.

Host with whom I chatted virtually seems like a lovely lady. BUT, she does NOT live there When I arrived & entered the empty house, it looked like a scene from a horror movie The house is like a construction zone & not a renovating project I felt compelled to stay at a hotel In short - description does not reflect reality. Material facts as to condition of the house are omitted. The construction integrity did not seem sound Sadly, Host reported me as NO SHOW, so I could not leave a review. Similar has been done to other WPs. Luckily, I recorded my arrival and was able to prove otherwise

I liked this experience for getting around and seeing some places, as for example you just need 30 minutes to get to the train station, from where you are able to get to Valencia, Castellón or even Peníscola. I had a lot of free time, so I could even visit another place on a working day! I loved to go to the beach which takes about 50 minutes of walking, but it's totally worth it! The supermarket is just 2 minutes away and the laundry center is also close by, however it is around 5-6€ for washing. This place still needs a lot of work, so it's not for everybody. But to see spain it is perfect!

Yolanda was very kind and welcoming, she tried to help out with any problem that came across. The workload was a bit more than expected but overall it was a good experience for me.

La experiencia no salió bien, el trabajo que iba a realizar como artista terminó siendo cambiado a último momento, el ambiente en la casa era incómodo e incluso se dio una discusión con otra voluntaria. Entiendo que es una situación fuera del control de Yolanda (la anfitriona) pero muchas cosas en la casa y en el proyecto pueden mejorar.

Die Natur der Arbeit sollte nie verändert werden; die einzige Anpassung, die ich im Sinn hatte, war eine Veränderung des Standorts. Leider hatte ich nicht die Gelegenheit, dies aufgrund der Umstände klar zu kommunizieren. Es war ebenso enttäuschend für mich, dass wir die wunderbaren Ideen, die wir geplant hatten, nicht zur Verwirklichung bringen konnten.
Die späte Ankunft der Freiwilligen, Krankheit und persönliche Herausforderungen führten dazu, dass unsere gemeinsame Zeit sehr begrenzt war. Während ich gespannt war, das Projekt zu beginnen, wählte ich, ihr Wohlbefinden an erste Stelle zu setzen, und verbrachte erhebliche Zeit damit, Unterstützung und Trost zu bieten. Leider war es bei dem reduzierten Zeitrahmen nicht möglich, das Projekt wie ursprünglich beabsichtigt fortzusetzen.
Ich strebe stets danach, eine unterstützende, erfüllende Umgebung für alle Freiwilligen zu schaffen, und ich freue mich auf zukünftige Möglichkeiten, bei denen wir genügend Zeit und Raum haben, um uns vollständig mit den laufenden kreativen Projekten auseinanderzusetzen.
