Mis días en entre el proyeto fueron muy bonitos,, Gracias al chef Alex por abrirme las puertas de su casa y hacerme sentir como si estuviese en la mia ,, fueron unos días tranquilos en compañía de sus perros que son increíbles los extrañare. Gracias por todo Alex.

During my stay I learned quite a lot working in the vegetable garden, front yard, and spending time with the dogs, though there were no set tasks. Regarding organization, there are no fixed lunch schedules and some days the food was not enough. Food delivery to communities was also suspended due to car problems, so if that interests you, ask beforehand if it's resolved. On a personal level, I felt they didn't have the energy or willingness to host volunteers. I requested 2 days off agreeing to make them up later, but when I tried to return they stopped responding and kept my food.

I had a wonderful time here. The house offers a stunning view of Fuego and is a perfect place to relax after working in the garden. At the same time, there is plenty of space and opportunity to explore the surroundings or visit Antigua. The garden is beautiful, and there are many plans to make the place even nicer, there is always something to do. Javi is a kind and welcoming host, sometimes with unexpected and spontaneous twists, and he cooks amazingly well. During my stay, the weekly soup distribution did not always take place, but they now have a new truck so I believe this will continue.

La the project is an amazing place. Surrounded by three volcanoes, cats, dogs, birds, trees, and fruit plants, it feels full of life. Chef Javi is a wonderful host — always happy to share his delicious recipes and food. I can't wait to return and help with the garden and food project.

Being a volunteer at the project has been one of the best decisions I could have made. I had a really good time with Chef , Ruben & pets If you have the chance to go there you won't regret I promise 🫶🏼

El proyeto fue mi primer voluntariado y no existe otra mejor manera para empezar. Javi y Ruben son muy atentos y buscan el bienestar el proyeto voluntarios. El lugar es hermoso con una vista espectacular al proyeto agua, fuego y Acatenango. Tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir nuestras experiencias culinarias y aprender de Javi y su huerta. Es una experiencia que recomiendo se den la oportunidad de vivir.

Mi experiencia en el proyeto fue muy linda, el lugar es hermoso, la vista increíble, los anfitriones son cordiales y divertidos, pudimos compartir tiempo, disfrutar de la comida, trabajar en el huerto, pasear a los perros, en mi estadía había más voluntarios eso siempre lo vuelve más divertido, fue una muy agradable estancia

Mi experiencia en el proyeto fue increíble, la vista es hermosa desde la casa y desde la huerta. Javier sabe un montón de recetas y tiene muchas experiencias para compartir, la tranquilidad del lugar y la conexión con la naturaleza es lo más recomendado. Te sientes parte de una comunidad que cultiva y cosecha sus propios alimentos. Los días de preparar y repartir "Sopa gratis" en las comunidades aledañas es una labor muy linda y es súper recomendada para que todos puedan ayudar y compartir con la población local.

Javi is a very kind and lovely giving person. He has a big heart. The home is BEAUTIFUL and the garden too. We had a really nice stay and it's so easy to get to Antigua also and the surrounding villages.
