Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich im HTB ehrenamtlich tätig war. Glenn ist ein großartiger Gastgeber, sehr positiv und energisch. Er zeigte mir interessante Dinge über das Hostel. und mich zu Orten wie Beverley und Bempton brachte. Ich erlebte das Sesh Festival, fuhr in seinem coolen Van und sah Rugby zum ersten Mal. Zu den Aufgaben gehören Gäste willkommen zu heißen, Betten zu ordnen und bei Reinigung und Wäsche zu helfen. Glenn war immer hilfsbereit, wenn ich etwas nicht verstand. Das Hostel ist so schön, mit Museen und Parks, die mich wie zu Hause fühlen ließen. Der Marina Docks war mein Lieblingsort. Ich empfehle diesen Gastgebern anderen Freiwilligen wärmstens.😊

I worked with Glenn at the hostel for around 5 and a half weeks! It was a good experience with Glenn and the other volunteer, Joe, being very friendly. The work itself isn't very hard, as it's only a small hostel, so there aren't many beds or bathrooms to clean each day. In terms of admin/reception, it's very simple and anyone can learn it quickly! Glenn was very helpful in showing me around the local area, and the next town over. I spent my time there bunking in the female dorm. I would work here again. :) see you guys around!! Glenn is a really great host, super positive even under stressful situations. From Sunday evening to Thursday morning I was in charge as he lives an hour away, I called him a couple of times when some of the guests requested room changes but he was quick to respond. The hostel itself, the hostel, is located in the heart of the cities old town, which is useful because there are many shops and markets close by. I also had a private room which was comfortable, I still used ear plugs though for the noise of the city. I shared the wash facilities, toilet and kitchenette.
