My experience here was appalling. Upon arrival, I was blindsided by an unexpected €6 daily fee, which the host falsely claimed he had communicated earlier. I was unprepared financially, and when I voiced this, he abruptly stated he had “no time” for volunteers—then escalated into a hostile argument. I felt unsafe, disrespected, and was forced to leave at night. The emotional distress was intense. Though he later apologized, the damage was done. Such deceit and lack of transparency are unacceptable.
