This experience was AMAZING! The people, the place, the world around it, it is honestly an unreal experience. I fully emerged in the life of a 'lighthousekeeper' (which coincidentally also is working in a cafe ;). I lived in a room on the property in a beautiful old wooden building, the work was super fair. I loved working in the kitchen, having fun with colleagues and chatting to the guests (which are all super cool). In my free time I explored the surroundings, went on walks. A big big thank you to Anne-Gry, Olena and all the others. Ha det bra!! <3

J'ai vraiment beaucoup aime mon sejour a the hotel :) l'accueil et l equipe est vraiment genial, c est vraiment faire partie d'une famille :) et l'endroit est juste magique :) j ai pas eu la meilleure meteo durant mon sejour mais ceci m a permis de profiter des me reposer un peu plus dans un endroit cosy et j en avais besoin! Concernant les activités j etais vraiment en cuisine essentiellement comme je l avais mentionné en preference :) bref je ne peut que vs recommander d y aller pour rencontrer tout le monde et profiter de la magie du lieu si vous aimez la nature :) merci encore ann gry :)

My three-week volunteer experience at the hotel Lighthouse was absolutely unique and unforgettable. I adored the serene natural surroundings which granted me wonderful inner peace.More precious than the scenery were the friendships I built. It was lovely getting to know colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and saying goodbye was truly difficult. Thanks Olena, Line, Ketja Emal and all the other kind people❤️ I am deeply grateful to my host Anne-Gry.I felt honoured to be her first volunteer of the summer. She is dedicated, optimistic and warm-hearted, and I will always recall her bright laughter!🥰

It was truly a dream come true. Staying at the hotel felt like stepping into another world: peaceful, surrounded by nature, and offering the chance for deep connection and simply being present. I felt fully immersed in Norwegian culture, taking part in several local events that made the experience even richer and more authentic. I was lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights on most nights I was there. Anne-Gry is amazing: kind, caring, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The connections I made are the kind you carry with you for life. This place has truly stayed in my heart.

It was such a pleasure to have Amanda at Tranøy lighthouse; you are lucky if you get her onboard. She is very helpful, she sees the tasks that has to be done, she also works good together with the team. And she is a very good sambra teacher:) I look forward to see her again at some point, do not know when, but I know and want it to happen<3

Meus dias no hotel foram poucos mas com certeza é lindo e vale a viagem. A alimentação é bem boa, e a Anne-Gry é uma pessoa super gentil e compreensiva. Infelizmente não consegui ficar o tempo que eu tinha programado lá por algumas questões estruturais momentâneas do local. Bom para viajantes independentes que gostem de ficar sozinhos e não façam questão de ter um centro/cidade perto, pois do Lighthouse até o vilarejo mais próximo são 3km a pé e muitas vezes está ventando/chovendo. Não recomendo se você quer estar com outros voluntários e se gosta de ter certa independência para ir e vir.

I had the most amazing 3 weeks living at the hotel. My host Anna-Gry was more than accommodating and really made this my favorite volunteer experience thus far. I was welcomed the moment I arrived and made to feel like apart of a family. The work was very easy and manageable and I had plenty of free time to explore the surrounding area and even took a trip to the Lofoten Islands. The lighthouse and island itself are breathtaking, it felt like something out of a dream. I would be back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for such a unique and memorable experience. I really hope we meet again❤️

It was such a pleasure to have Sallyann at Tranøy Lighthouse, very easy to along with , it felt like we were a good mix of friends/dauther/mother. Sallyann did a good job and she was also offering her help for many differents tasks; cleaning rooms, dishwash, taking pictures and videos, bartender and she had a swim with me in the sea:) I wish her all the luck and really hope to she her again , either at the lighthouse og in Ireland<3

Had a beautiful time at the hotel and would highly recommend this experience! I did a mix of housekeeping and restaurant work with clearly set hours. In my free time, I was able to explore the stunning surrounding coastline with views of the mountains and fjord that feel straight out of a postcard! Anne-Gry and the team were all warm and welcoming. Couldn't ask for a better way to experience Northern Norway's landscape and culture!

My experience at the hotel truly was one of a kind. The place is a magical site, surrounded by the best nature has to offer. It is the perfect environment for people who are looking to disconnect from cities. 🌲 I had the chance to meet incredible people at the lighthouse and Anne-Gry is a kind, giving and carring women. She gives life to the space and anyone would be blessed to meet her 🫶🏻 The work was varied, fair and has discussed. It gives plenty of time to relax and visit the surrounding area. It is a little piece of paradise on earth. ✨️🏔 Thank you once again Anna-Gry 💛

Where should I start? This was my first volunteering experience and I'm glad I was part of the hotel! The place is breathtaking and the landscape is just one out of a picturesque postcard so magical. I spent a couple of days alone in the lighthouse (Anne lives about 15 minutes from it ) and what a great memories made there. But it's not just the place the heart of that place are the people I met there, so kind and curious and respectful. I have to say thank you Anne-Gry you made me feel at home and you are a wonderful host and great human being. Don't forget about Mexico and me 😊

How can I describe my stay in the lighthouse? I can't, you have to go haha. This place is wonderful and magical, especially because of the people you will meet there. The tasks are easy and well managed and you have plenty of time to explore the nature or just rest ! You could be alone in the lighthouse but because it's cosy and calm you will feel very comfortable. Thanks again Anne-Gry, I will come back :)
