Das Erlebnis

Wir sind ein Tierheim/Tierrettungszentrum in der Wüste. Wir retten jedes Tier und geben ihnen die Chance, glücklich und geliebt zu sein. Wir suchen jemanden, der uns bei der Instandhaltung des Refugiums unterstützen kann. Die Hauptaufgabe besteht darin, uns bei Reparatur- und Bauarbeiten zu unterstützen. Unser DIY-Freiwilliger ist nicht im Zeitplan für die Tierpflege vorgesehen, sollte sich aber dennoch wohl fühlen, Räume mit vielen geretteten Tieren zu teilen.

Gemeinschaftszimmer: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem Gemeinschaftszimmer, was bedeutet, dass du dir den Raum mit anderen Reisenden teilst.

Team dorm: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem Gemeinschaftszimmer, was bedeutet, dass du dir den Raum mit anderen Personen teilst.

Frühstück: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Frühstück an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.

Mittagessen: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Mittagessen an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.

Abendessen: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Abendessen an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.

Nutze unsere ausgestattete Küche: Nutze gerne unsere Küche und bereite dein eigenes leckeres Essen zu.

Programmdetails

We rely on the help of volunteers to be able to take good care of the more than 200 rescued animals living at the sanctuary. We are happy to welcome people who are willing to be responsible members of our community, truly care for our animals well-being, and at the same time can accept that resources and opportunities in a growing project with no governmental support are sometimes limited and we have to improvise with what we got.
The daily tasks for the DIY volunteer are built around the maintenance or growth of the project, such as some construction works to improve the living situation of animals and humans, for example.
The rest of the volunteers takes care of feeding, cleaning, and giving water to the animals inside and outside of the house, while the DIY is out from this shifts and able to work more independently on the DIY priorities of the project, with the help of the other volunteers when needed.
Main working hours of volunteers are 9am-13pm, and 5/6pm-6/7pm, with 2 days off per week; the DIY volunteer has more flexibility in planning his hours, especially in the afternoon, but collaboration with the other volunteers is useful. Some flexibility required for emergencies.
