Meine Zeit in Lobitos war großartig! Pía leistet wirklich großartige Arbeit mit der Gemeinschaft und den Tieren. Die Pferde sind sehr einfach zu arbeiten und sehr ruhig. Die Arbeit ist überhaupt nicht schwer, und ich habe sie tatsächlich wirklich genossen. Ich hoffe, die Unterkünfte und das Freiwilligenprogramm sind für zukünftige Freiwillige besser organisiert und klarer. Es gab von Anfang an keine klaren Regeln, weder im Haus noch auf der Ranch, was die Vereinbarung bezüglich des Austauschs manchmal unklar machte. Insgesamt ist Pia eine nette und einladende Person, und ihre Arbeit mit den Pferden ist wirklich inspirierend; es war großartig, Teil dieses Projekts zu sein!

I loved my time in Lobitos. The work isn't hard, just spaced out through the day, and the ranch is about a 40-min walk from town, so planning free time can get a bit tricky. This is much easier with more volunteers. The requested fee is for accommodation, so not a typical work exchange, which I didn't expect. But staying with a local couple was a great experience. I just wish I'd known in advance and at least had the option to stay elsewhere. Know that Lobitos has v limited amenities, but the community is amazing, and Pia is doing incredible work for the local people and animals.
