Das war das erste Mal, dass ich worldpackers benutzt habe. Und das wird sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein… Während meiner Zeit bei den Rebels konnte ich viel Zeit mit ihren wunderbaren Kindern verbringen, ich habe meine Schreinerfähigkeiten verbessert und hier und da eine Menge zufälliges Wissen aufgeschnappt.
Dieser Ort war 100% passend für mich und ich bin sehr dankbar für all ihre Freundlichkeit und Großzügigkeit.
Es ist sehr schwierig, in Worte zu fassen, was ich fühlte und wie der Aufenthalt dort mich beeinflusst hat… Es geht um all die kleinen Momente, die Lebensratschläge, die Niels mir auf unseren Fahrten durch die Berge gegeben hat, und die aufschlussreichen Gespräche, die ich mit Stephanie geführt habe.

Der Aufenthalt auf dem Bauernhof war eine so wunderbare Erfahrung!! Der Ort selbst ist wunderbar, und ihn mit einer so netten Familie zu teilen machte ihn noch besonderer! Sie haben mich vom ersten Tag an wie zu Hause fühlen lassen. Die Arbeit läuft gut, sie sind total entspannt. Die Hunde und Katzen waren auch ein guter Pluspunkt für die Erfahrung. Ich vermisse den Ort schon jetzt und hoffe, bald zurückkommen zu können :)

The farm is so special! It's very nice to have the opportunity to learn more about another way of life, specially in a space everybody is interested in sharing it with you. I felt so welcome and it was so important for me to volunteer with teenagers: teaching, but learning, sharing and listening to their feelings and view of life at the same time. The same with the kids, who are always able to be present. Colette, Louis, Henri and Jacques are so smart, but completely different from each other, what makes the experience so rich. Niels and Stephanie are generous, funny and receptive.

Mein Aufenthalt dort war so bedeutsam für mich. Die Familie ist sehr gastfreundlich. Die Aufgaben waren super einfach und ich war froh, sie zu erledigen. Haus und Umgebung - perfekt für Detox. Ich hatte so viele Gespräche mit Familienmitgliedern. Obwohl ich etwas früher gehen musste, haben sie das verstanden. Dort bin ich auch zu so vielen Schlussfolgerungen gekommen. Wenn du nach einer ruhigen Zeit suchst, ist es der perfekte Ort.

A wonderful, calm family with a very broad and open worldview Unique education of children that promotes and gives a good opportunity to raise "not slaves!" A wonderful detox from the world in the middle of the mountains surrounded by olives. My best two weeks in 2025, thank you🫶

This was my first time with WorldPackers and I could not have had a better experience. I absolutely loved my time with Stephanie, Niels, the kiddos and all the animals - I truly felt like part of the family! The location is breathtakingly beautiful and really allows you to slow down and appreciate everything. I really enjoyed cooking for the family and got to improve my skills in the kitchen while falling in love with the vegan lifestyle (fully left as a vegan too)! Everyday was filled with laughs and good conversation and I highly recommend this experience - you won't be disappointed 🥰

I had a really great time during my stay! I enjoyed the peace and quite of the nature and going for a run with the dogs in the morning. Niels and Stephanie have 4 amazing children and you can always share a laugh with every single one of them. This is the kind of experience nobody knows they need. 🌞

I had a truly wonderful experience staying with Niels and Stephanie. I joined them as a amateur cook, and it was the perfect opportunity to grow my cooking skills and explore the world of plant-based food. Niels and Stephanie are incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive – especially when it came to my meal ideas and kitchen experiments. They have four lovely, social kids who were always up for playing board games, going on walks, swimming in the pool, and helping out in the kitchen. All in all, amazing people and a beautiful place. I highly recommend this experience!

Thank you so much to the whole family, it was definitely the best first experience as a volunteer with Worldpackers. I leave with a heart full of beautiful memories, and special thanks to Loui, who not only became a great friend but also felt like a brother to me. Niels, thanks to you, many of the ways I saw or understood life and the world around us have changed. A genius ahead of his time hahaha. Without a doubt, El Serrato will always be a part of me!

This was a gorgeous experience. I loved living with Niels, Stephanie, their four children, and many cats and dogs. I felt welcomed immediately into their warm home and family. I really enjoyed the work - painting walls - and the time spent with the family and other volunteers. The house is deep in the mountains, and I went on walks every morning with the dogs. I hope to go back! Thank you for this experience :)
