Das Erlebnis

Hallo, ich bin eine lokale Lehrkraft, die Englisch an Kinder und Jugendliche unterrichtet (einige mit Lernschwierigkeiten, die zusätzliche Aufmerksamkeit benötigen) in Galle, Sri Lanka. Unser Hauptziel ist es, den Schülerinnen und Schülern zu helfen, ihr Englisch zu sprechen, ihr Hörverständnis und ihre Schreibfähigkeiten zu verbessern, während sie lernen, zusammenzuarbeiten und über den Tellerrand zu denken.

You will have a chance to help and work with some of the most kind children and students in the world.
An option to study for an online TEFL teaching qualification whilst gaining classroom experience.
A great opportunity for university students who want to gain classroom experience before starting their career or need a break away from their current job.
And on top of it all you'll get a real taste of daily life in a town close to the beach.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

You will assist me on fixed days & hours in the classes. This will involve:

- supporting the local English trainee in creating lessons and improve her administrative computer skills which will be beneficial to him/her in their future studies or career.
- during class, you will support me with the children that need some extra help because of their learning difficulties
- you help me to make sure the kids come in and leave the premises safely (as mentioned some children are in need of extra assistance)
- this is a place where kids not only improve their English skills but also strengthen their social skills. This is why you will play a very important role as children love to hear your stories.
- please note that this is not a teaching position as you will mainly support and assist me. Together we can make sure the kids get the most out of their learning experience
