My stay with Shabani was incredible. I had an extraordinary journey with the children, they are very endearing and teach us a lot about their way of living and learning which is different from that of Europe. I had the opportunity to go on a safari and travel to Zanzibar for three days. Don't forget to provide change for transportation because it is possible to go to the city centre by bus for example. Regarding the accommodation, it was perfect! A shower, a toilet and a private sink in the room are provided as well as a large bed and two bunk beds are available.

Trabajar en las escuelas fue una experiencia enriquecedora, los niños están súper abiertos a recibirte y ansiosos por todo el amor que les puedas dar.Marian la señora que nos preparaba las comidas un amor, nos cocinaba muy rico y variado.Las primeras semanas las instalaciones de la casa eran muy precarias pero luego nos mudamos y el tener una ducha cambio radicalmente .Cómo la escuela queda lejos de casa es muy importante llevar suficiente dinero para pagar la movilidad de ida y vuelta.Tené en cuenta que cualquier gasto que surja siempre corre por tu cuenta.Ommi hace un trabajo increible por

This was my first volunteer experience and the best experience I ever had. Ommy and Jumbe were wonderful hosts and I would absolutely be back. On the second day I was here I truly felt like a local and they make sure you get that local experience. They do so much for the host and the host are their main priority!! Everyday was a new experience & anything I needed help with, they did that. I've learned Swahili, how the locals live & so much more. Please volunteer with them if you want an experience of a lifetime. It truly will be a forever memory and I have made forever friends. Thank you!!

I enjoyed my time volunteering here. The children were a joy to teach through songs, games and dancing, and everyone in the village was warm and welcoming! I also really appreciated Shabani and homestay host, Ommy, who supported me during a medical emergency and came with me to the hospital. The homestay is quite basic, so come with realistic expectations. The bucket showers, bed, mosquito nets and bathroom could be improved, but the home-cooked meals were varied and delicious. Overall, it was a worthwhile and authentic experience.

This was the best experience of my life. From meeting the locals to meeting the host, I loved every part of it. My host Jumbe was very kid and caring. I enjoyed every part of this experience. Definitely recommend!!
