A day onboard the Astralship will typically include:
Morning check-in with the crew
Self-directed or team project work (generally between 9 AM-4 PM).
Shared meal preparation, cleaning and activities (such as movies, jamming, karaoke or yoga)
North Wales is known for its beautiful scenery. The Astralship is located right at the doorstep Eyri (Snowdonia National Park), home to Wale’s highest peak, Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon). You will have plenty of free time to go for walks, bike rides, and explore the neighbouring towns and cultural sights such as Caernafon Castle and Beaumaris.
Be excellent to everyone on board. Treat people with respect, kindness, and consideration, including when you disagree. We’re building a safe space where everyone can do good work, rest properly, and feel welcome.
Safety comes first. Follow site and tool safety guidance, use PPE when needed, keep shared areas tidy, and report hazards or concerns promptly. Think ahead, check in with others, and don’t take risks that put people or the project at risk.
No inappropriate behaviour. Anything that makes others feel unsafe or uncomfortable is not acceptable. This includes harassment, bullying, discrimination, intimidation, unwanted sexual attention, aggressive behaviour, or invading someone’s boundaries. Violence or threats of violence are absolutely not tolerated.
Respect shared living. Clean up after yourself, be mindful of noise and privacy, and take responsibility for the spaces you use. Communicate clearly about needs, plans, and any issues, and resolve conflicts calmly and constructively.
Show up with care. This is a community project, not a corporate workplace, and it runs on trust. Bring your best effort, support the team, and contribute with the attitude that what we’re building matters. We’re here because we care about the future of humanity and the planet, and we act like it.
