I had an incredible experience volunteering for VCV. I appreciate the variety of classes that I was able to the school, what I learned from these teaching experiences, and that my schedule was easy to manage. There was plenty of time for exploring Hanoi. I met many volunteers and also locals who attended the coffee talks who were really interested in learning the school exchanging cultural information. VCV does a great job at organizing events and giving volunteers opportunities to immerse in the culture. I also felt comfortable in the apartment &loved the meals. Thank you so much for everything!

My experience at VCV was absolutely amazing. The time I spent with the students and the wonderful people I met was so special. Ms. Hay and the other people who work at VCV are all so inviting and supportive. I will miss VCV and Hanoi very much. It will always have a special place in my heart that I will cherish forever. VCV is very well organised and it is a happy place, with a good positive vibe. It has a good leader & excellent staff, all are very helpful, kind, friendly, and each person plays their own role well. They work as a team, there teamwork is first class. VCV maintains good learning standards, encourages culture the school, promotes positivity, happiness and fun. It is a very good learning experience and a rewarding one for the students, people within the community, the staff and the volunteers. Coming from a sporting background, it felt like I was in a sporting team. A valuable & amazing time!!!!

Staying at VCV was a wonderful chapter! After a little over 2 months, I've been immersed in Vietnamese culture and the way of life in Hanoi. The staff are very welcoming and kind. The classes are well organized - you get class plans and materials for everything. There is also flexibility with the volunteers, allowing us to work with our teaching style, etc. The apartment, though not in peak state, is comfortable and homey. Great food and great cooks! The bonds I made with the other volunteers is truly special. I had a great time learning more about Vietnam, how to the school, and how to travel.

Volunteering in Hanoi was an incredibly meaningful experience. The program was supportive, well organised, and created a genuine space to connect with the students while allowing flexibility in teaching style. The kids were curious, warm, and made every day rewarding, and the sense of community with other volunteers made the experience even more special. Hanoi is intense but deeply transformative, and I'm leaving with so much gratitude, growth, and beautiful memories. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone looking for something real and impactful.

Ms. Hay & the team at VCV run an exceptional programme! I'm incredibly grateful for my time spent at VCV, for the opportunities provided, the kindness of the people & feel I got to grow personally & professionally. During my 2 months with VCV, I mainly taught adult classes, which provided me with ample opportunity to engage with the local community, enjoy coffee or meals swapping stories. The schedule was fair amongst volunteers, & provided at the start of each week. So, also had time to plan & utilise my time off to explore Hanoi or nearby regions with other volunteers.

Words are not enough to describe my experience throughout the 2 months I spent volunteering at VCV. In this time, I not only learned a lot about myself, but also developed some new skills and met countless amazing people. The environment and the people at VCV truly make you feel like you are at home. The teaching is really enjoyable as well, all students, are very committed, grateful and sweet. VCV provided me with the opportunity to not just feel like a random tourist, but to feel like I am a part of the community here in Hanoi. I could not be more grateful to everyone at VCV for this time.

I'm so grateful for the amazing experience I had during my 12 weeks with VCV. I was able to engage in meaningful cultural the school, grow my teaching skills, and meet amazing people. Ms. Hay does an excellent job communicating with volunteers and organizing the social/class schedules. She has really set the tone for VCV to be a welcoming and family-like environment. The Vietnamese volunteers/staff are incredible people and incredible cooks! Everyone is very supportive. It was honestly so hard to say goodbye because I had such an amazing time. I highly recommend. Thank you VCV family!!! <3

My experience at VCV was truly amazing. It was a complete cultural the school discovering Vietnamese food, living and sharing with local people, and having deep conversations about different perspectives on life. Traveling and spending time with all the volunteers felt like a family! Teaching the classes was both fun and enriching, as it gave me a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture. There was always something new to learn and discuss when comparing it with my own. I really enjoyed both classes with the kids and the adults. VCV truly felt like a family, and I'm very grateful for it. ❤️
