It was nice experience stay and work at hotel castle park, the work time is more flexibility, I am the web developer, all the people here is nice, and easy-going people. the hotel is located in the forest, it is quieter place, and many trees. I recommend if you want to do volunteer job, can try it. the restaurant also serves good local dish.

My experience was good, I've connected with other volunteers and I believe that was the reason it was a good experience. This volunteering looks like a proper job and the bosses don't seem to know how to deal with volunteers, I don't blame them I just think they didn't get the correct vibe of it. I wasn't disrespected at all but indifference is what I would call it. Most of the staff isnice and kind but only a few workers in the hotel know how to speak English so the communication is pretty hard. I recommend only if you want a comfy place to sleep and good food to spend some time in Albania.

Fica difícil explicar , pois são várias coisas que não gostei. Não há muita organização no que toca às horas e turnos que temos de fazer, tivemos um momento de grande desrespeito por parte de uma pessoa do hotel. Enfim, não me quero alongar, as pessoas não tao preparadas para receber voluntários porque não sabem o que significa “voluntariado”. Somos tratados como trabalhadores. A alma foi sempre prestativa, mas tem tanto trabalho que não tem como dar conta dos voluntários. Ela necessita de alguém responsável pelos voluntários e melhorar todo o ambiente envolvente. Obrigado

Os acordos da plataforma sobre horas de trabalho e folgas não foram cumpridos. A comunicação era muito ruim, não tivemos informações ao chegarmos, não tinhamos schedule para horários de colaboração e dias livres. Tive a sensação de ser recebida como trabalhadora. Não havia abertura para o intercâmbio cultural, troca de experiências, momentos de lazer e interação que são os objetivos principais dessas viagens. O ambiente era estressante e passamos por uma situação de desrespeito. Poderia ser solucionado com comunicação e com conhecimento do que é de fato receber voluntarios.

Castle Park it's a beautiful hotel and restaurant located 1.2 km away from town they provide everything you need for your stay, the work at the kitchen is basically to be a dishwasher and sometimes it's hard to communicate with the team since they do not speak English only Albania, while Alma it's occupied with a lot of matters.

Volunteering in Hotel Castle Park was great! We had a real immersive experience in the eco village local culture, language and food. All people were very nice and helpful with us :) We made friends for a hole life there! Specially thanks to: Sila, Tefta, Leda, Olla, Vera, Barije, Dava, Xhoel, Reni, Said, Santi, Bona, Genti, Alma and all her family :D

Nicole is a very educated and open-minded girl. She has an extraordinary ability in communication and skills to learn new things. During her stay in Castle Park she quickly became part of the staff and immediately learned to be productive. and useful for the work. I wish him a lot of success and luck!

Alma was a great host, she helped us when we got in Berat, giving us a ride. Everything was done accordingly to what was expected, work times, meals. The job in the kitchen was pretty simple, there was also some ironing & setting tables. The staff from the kitchen and the waiters were amazing & made us feel at home. Alma is very busy, but she'll answer back on WhatsApp in a couple of minutes or hours any question you might have. Reminder that the hotel is just a 1km walk from the city, but at night on the way back (uphill) it is pitch dark on the last 200m & deserted. Surely recommend it tho.
