It was my first volunteering and truly a great experience! The work was super easy and I had a lot of free time during the day to do whatever I wanted. The hostel is in a good location and it's easy to get around and explore. It's not a super social hostel, there's no planned activities but I still found friends in the other volunteers and the people I worked with. I will definitely visit again!!

Working three months as a bartender at the hostel was an unforgettable experience. Effie and her team welcomed me like family, creating a warm and supportive environment. I improved my bartending skills, learned about teamwork and customer service, and Effie was always kind and understanding. Time flew by, filled with valuable lessons, great connections, and unforgettable memories. el trabajo en sí fue relativamente fácil y nunca tuve que quedarme más de las 4 horas, trabajé por la noche, así que tenía mucho tiempo para explorar durante el día. el alojamiento del hostal fue perfecto y también lo fue la ubicación. no era el hostal más sociable (para el personal o los huéspedes, para ser sincero) y hace falta una mejor comunicación entre el personal de limpieza y los voluntarios. las cosas definitivamente mejoraron cuanto más me quedaba, y pude adaptarme a la dinámica entre el trabajo y el hostal. recomendaría si buscas explorar la experiencia del hostal y la cultura tailandesa, pero entra con la mente abierta!!

My volunteer experience here was a mix of good and bad. The host is sweet but not present as she manages a nearby bar. The location is great and the stay comfortable. Bicycles are available but old and damaged — if anything breaks, the staff may react aggressively. Work hours were fair, and meals included 3 slices of bread and 2 eggs daily, which you cook yourself. The staff atmosphere was unfriendly, and communication was difficult since only the manager speaks some English. I also received rude remarks from the manager. Strict house rules and limited kitchen access made it not enjoyable.

My experience at the hostel was more than incredible, they support you with any questions or concerns, I connected very well with the staff, little by little they became like family, I feel happy to have friends who are family in Bangkok, super well located, I love the atmosphere, it is always clean, the food they prepare is really delicious, I definitely recommend it a lot. Eternally grateful from the heart to you the hostel, I will be back very soon!!!
