This was such a special experience for me. I enjoyed it so much, Sammatz is a place full of magic where I got to reconnect with nature and with myself. I met so many wonderful people from all over the world and made lifelong friendships :) Work is intense and there are so many things going on all the time so if you choose to come to Sammatz remember to take a moment and stop and smell the flowers 🌸 I had so much fun 🧡 it's not perfect, no place is, but it became a home away from home for me because the people you meet are so special.

This was my first volunteering experience abroad and I loved it. I didn't know what to expect, but I found a very peaceful and wonderful place with friendly hosts and a lot of international volunteers! People were really open-minded and always smiling. Thank you so much. If you're looking for a beautiful place with varied tasks where you can make lots of friends, Sammatz is what you need!

Sammatz foi a minha primeira experiência de voluntariado e com certeza a melhor experiência da minha vida até o momento. O lugar é lindo, cheio de natureza, animais e as pessoas são sempre muito gentis, amáveis, respeitosas, amigáveis e principalmente fazem com que você sinta a liberdade de expressar sua opinião e te dão sempre acolhimento quando necessário. Aqui eu aprendi muito sobre a vida, sobre empatia, lealdade, companheirismo, a cuidar dos animais, das plantas e principalmente aprendi como de fato é uma vida em comunidade e grande spoiler a vida em comunidade aqui é incrível.

Sammatz is heaven on Earth! The hosts are super kind, nice, friendly and open people as well as respectful. They offer everything you need for a amazing experience, from food to events. There is a wide range of areas you can work with, from garden to stables, kitchen and more. In Sammatz you will learn also about community lifestyle, sustainability, and culture. Weather be it from German culture to everywhere in the world, including languages and culture and ways of living. This is my second time here and perfect as always! It is always sunny and summer in Sammatz (even when it is raining!) ❤️

Desde a chegada fomos muito bem recepcionados pelas pessoas que por lá vivem a mais tempo, e da mesma forma por viajantes que estão de passagem. Você aprende a dar espaço, porque também pode ter o seu espaço de expressão e compartilhamento. As pessoas realmente te chamam pelo seu nome, mesmo quando a casa está cheia. Além disso, o contato com os animais e a natureza pode ser surpreendente.

I was honestly really scared to come here because I wasn't sure what to expect. I've never lived with a bunch of people I've never met before. But within 10 mins of getting to Sammatz I realized I had made the right decision. As soon as I sat down at one of the living room tables, a few people sat down next to me and made me feel included and welcomed. I quickly realized that's how everyone in Sammatz is. So kind, so inviting, so welcoming. The people I met and the memories I've made will always hold a special place in my heart. If you're thinking about coming here, you should! :)

This is my first time in Germany and Europe. I was a little bit afraid at first because of what I heard about German culture and people. In Sammatz I found a place that welcomes in a really warm way. I decided to extend my stay a little longer because of the people, work and nature. I'm part of the construction team that works every day building the new houses for the community. I've learned a lot about home electrical installations, and construction. This place philosophy is really interesting. Here, sustainability, getting along with the community and nature are the most important topics.
