Para mí, alojarme en la casa de huéspedes fue una buena primera experiencia de voluntariado. Sandra y Marcel son personas buenas y sencillas que me dieron una cálida bienvenida en Baleal. Se aseguraron de que siempre estuviera al tanto de lo que ocurría en la casa de surf y respondían rápido a mis preguntas. Aprendí que me gusta la jardinería y Sandra se aseguró de que pudiera trabajar en el jardín cuando se hubieran terminado las tareas de anfitrión. A veces eché de menos tener gente a mi alrededor, pero esto es algo personal que no tiene que cambiar en la casa de huéspedes. Por último, siempre podría llevar una tabla para ir a surfear en mi tiempo libre: ¡increíble!

My experience was amazing and I felt really sad when it was time to leave the guest house. From the begginning I felt accepted and my work was valued. Sandra and Marcel would always check up on me, help me with anything I need whether its work related or not, and the trust was mutual. My daily routine was: morning work, midday break for lunch/errands/suntanning on a super nearby beach, afternoon work, surf, and then dinner with lovely guests i would meet in the camp. When the weather was not suitable for surfing i had plenty of time to explore Baleal, the guest house, surrounding towns and do surf lessons.
