Fue la experiencia más increíble que podía pedir a través de Worldpackers, mi primera vez haciendo voluntariado y adentrándome a una pequeña villa a hacer conocer personas increíbles y una hermosa experiencia. El trabajo es duro, pero siempre hay que tener buena disposición a vivirla, Gaia es muy receptivo y siempre dispuesto a escuchar y ayudar. Fueron anfitriones genial y disfruté mucho la compañía de mi compañera Amy (otra voluntaria). La familia, el lugar y las vibras son increíbles, se que volveré al alojamiento más pronto que tarde.

I spend a month at the lodge with my boyfriend and the experience was truely amazing! We came to learn more about life in Italy and running an the lodge, since we are considering moving to Italy. Gaia was always kind, patient and really welcomed us in his home. He didn't mind our endless stream of questions and happily answered them all. The place itself is magical! We spend many afternoons enjoying the pool and the beautiful surroundings. Because we came with our own car we were free to explore the surrounding towns and nature, which are both amazing. Thank you Gaia for a lovely experience!

My stay at the lodge was amazing! The host and his family are genuinely welcoming and caring, always ready to compromise and find a solution if something's wrong. Gaia is soo kind and always willing to help and show you around. The working hours were always respected and if you find your own system in it, it'll be easy for you even though it can be tough sometimes (mostly because of the heat outside). This place is suitable for everyone who wants to escape their busy life and immerse in the beautiful nature and views. I couldn't have chosen a better place for my first time!

We had an amazing time with Gaia at the lodge, which is a truly special place. We learnt so much from Gaia and hope to take some of his patience, wisdom and kindness home with us. There are small local towns to explore and Gaia was happy for us to accompany him to the local hot springs and lake (and gelatoria). I would recommend anyone who is willing to get stuck in to spend some time at the lodge and you will be rewarded!

Charlotte and I had a great three weeks stay at the lodge. Gaia was a really friendly and caring host. Our tasks included preparing rooms for the guests, serving guests, cleaning, gardening, feeding the chickens and other household chores and the working hours were respected. At the time we stayed there, he had an international friends group visiting him where we were involved and could get to know so many kind people. In our freetime we could visit the cute surrounding villages, went hiking and could da little trip to Florence. During our time at the lodge we made so many wonderful memories :)

Gaia is a very patient man. After i took the wrong bus on day 0 and fumbled several times learning the tasks, he was always all smiles and gently reminding us what to do. The projects on the farm side were a lot of fun to learn through as well, I often didn't see the hours go by. I was lucky enough to be alone in my accomodation, but keep in mind there is a possibility you will be sharing your private space with others. I recommend wholeheartedly going to the lodge if you're looking for a nature retreat kind of experience.

Gaia is a very patient and very understanding host. You can approach him at any time of the day and he'll never make you feel like you're bugging him. He's respectful and makes sure you're comfortable with any task he may ask of you. The location itself is beautiful as well, though the weather feels like it changes on a dime, lol. Overall, I would recommend this place for all travelers, especially for first timers like me. I would happily go back the next chance I get!

Thank you Gaia for the great time at the lodge. It was a wonderful experience in the beautiful nature of Maremma filled with piece and harmony. I really enjoyed the balanced work that included physical work on the olive field as well as indoor work in the BnB. Heads up that you do not always have access to the internet, but that creates a good break away from the screen as well ;) In any case, highly recommended if you're looking for a getaway in beautiful Tuscany.

Gaia and his family are really nice, communicative and warm people. If you are hardworking, communicative, and earn their trust, they will give you the freedom to take initiative, organize yourself, and take breaks whenever you need it. The work we had to do was physically demanding (during most of my stay, we were only two volunteers, so we had to work harder), and Gaia expects excellent results, but the working hours are respected, and the pool enables you to rest in a really nice way :) It was a really enriching experience that enabled me to make new friends from other count and to relax.

Our guests pay a lot of money and therefore they also expect an excellent condition of their rooms.

I was nervous writing this review because I am a people pleaser, but honesty is needed for the wellbeing of other travelers. To begin, Gaia was kind and fair, he's easy to talk to and honesty is the key with him. If you are finding a job difficult, make sure to tell him as you can come to a compromise! Positives: I made life changing friendships with voulenteers I learned a lot of new skills that will last a life time! Negatives: I found myself having little time to eat. I would recommend going in cooler weather Work amount is exhausting, perfection is expected Nudity was uncomfortable
