Pasé un mes en Goa haciendo voluntariado y me enamoré de la India. Como una viajera solitaria muy poco preparada, moverse y explorar fue muy fácil y puedo decir que me sentí segura 100% del tiempo como mujer joven en el hostel. Las personas increíbles que trabajan en la cocina, en el bar y, por supuesto, Ashwin, siempre me hicieron sentir segura y me enseñaron mucho. Estoy realmente agradecida de haber podido experimentar Goa desde esta perspectiva. Un mes fue la cantidad perfecta de tiempo para poder experimentar Goa justo antes de la temporada de monzones. El albergue es siempre una gran fiesta y una gran familia ❤️.

Fue un placer tener a Tessa como parte de la familia de nuestro albergue. Ella es un alma hermosa que se conecta con las personas que la rodean y deja huella dondequiera que vaya. Toda una calle se entristeció cuando dejó el albergue y eso dice mucho de su carácter. Me encantaría volver a tenerla y recomendaría a cualquiera al 100% si alguna vez se postula a sus puestos. Me encantaría pasar más tiempo durante su próximo viaje y una visita a Chapora es imprescindible cuando regreses :) Buena suerte con tus estudios y nos vemos ❤

Sofía fue una buena compañera de equipo al principio. Pero luego se volvió no profesional, especialmente con los huéspedes, según se informó. Si tuvo algún problema con otros voluntarios, fue fácil informarlos en ese momento, en lugar de informarnos ahora. Extrovertida y sociable, pero habría sido agradable comunicarse con el gerente y los voluntarios, ya que estaban cerca. 3/5

Mi experiencia en este albergue fue, en general, bastante agradable. Conocí a personas maravillosas, el equipo de personal fue genial y tengo buenos recuerdos.
Si quieres conocer gente, sin duda es el lugar adecuado para ti y si buscas salir de fiesta, es el sitio perfecto.
Sin embargo, hay un verdadero problema de comunicación. Por ejemplo, sin ser informado con antelación, terminé trabajando 14 días seguidos (sin días libres) durante las vacaciones y mi turno de trabajo a menudo empezaba muy tarde por la noche para los días siguientes, lo que dificulta planificar actividades fuera del voluntariado

Marin quería irse antes de las fechas acordadas de voluntariado y, por lo tanto, tuvimos un pequeño problema con los horarios de los días libres. Requerimos voluntarios para ayudar durante los días de pico. Estuvo alrededor de la Navidad y Año Nuevo y estaba pidiendo días libres durante los días ocupados del albergue para ir de fiesta, lo cual no fue una elección responsable.
Normalmente el horario se establece el día anterior, pero hemos hablado con el gerente para obtener un horario semanal para los voluntarios a partir de ahora.

Love Bucketlist! I had such a fun month here, Ashwin & Vaibhav run a professional and fun hostel and I was so happy to be a volunteer there. A great place to meet international and Indian travellers & I've come away with so many new friends. The work was in the bar and is very easy if you've worked behind bars before or easy to pick up if you haven't. The only thing I would say is there is quite an emphasis at times on promoting a party, which at times can be quite socially exhausting if you're not in the right mood for it, but I was easily dragged out these moods by guests lol! Recommend!

I had a really good time volunteering at the hostel. Vibav and the rest of the team are all extremely helpful and supportive when settling into the role. It's a great way to meet people and see Goa, without spending much money. However it would be nice to have to schedules slightly earlier then the night before. Overall it was a great experience!

I loved my first week there, the bartending they expect from you is very simple and Ashwin is very friendly. It was the most lively hostel of the area and everyone was looking to socialize. I chose to leave about one week earlier, because I started to feel like 6 h per day in exchange to accommodation and free breakfast-lunch, that I kept missing because my shift ended at 2 am, was not worth it. A premade work schedule would help us know our shifts and days-off in advance and avoid working for 7+ days straight.

This is home away from home, you will have so much fun meeting international travelers and connecting with the goa culture. The shifts were very easy and chill, the food was also very good and the party atmosphere is a reflection of what goa is about. All the beaches are a few minutes walking distance and you will always have enough time for you to enjoy the bucketlist life. I highly recommend it if you look for a western style experience while you travel through the universe of India.

Where do I even start ! Wow what an amazing place to meet people from all over the world It's a very social hostel and you make loads of friends the staff are all super friendly and helpful it's bar work so you get go learn the basics if you don't already know which is a good skill to take away from this experience. I'm sure I will be back one day ! I'd highly recommend voulenteering here

Note this is a party hostel. If you are looking to party, socialise and immerse yourself in the local culture then this is a great opportunity for you. Make sure to discuss with your host before what are your expected shifts and day to day role responsibilities. The room I was first put in was really basic but you can always upgrade your room for a small fee to have a clean private apartment. I would recommend this if you want some comfort. Overall, host is very nice, interesting guy that has travelled all over and has great stories.

Tuve un gran tiempo hospedando a Meg. No pude pasar mucho tiempo cuando estuvo cerca, ya que estaba viajando. Pero las interacciones cortas que tuvimos fueron geniales. Ella era responsable y tenía una personalidad increíble, perfecta para el ambiente de hostal. Definitivamente la recomendaría y le deseo un viaje seguro por delante!
