El lugar es muy bonito y los anfitriones Heber y Eoin son muy amables y te animan a conocer mas la zona, hazlo, vale la pena. Hay una variedad grande de trabajos para hacer, algunos son mas duros pero siempre lo puedes conversar para ir cambiando de tareas. Pasé un tiempo agradable ahí, conocí lugares hermosos y también tuve tiempo a solas para disfrutar la naturaleza y la tranquilidad del lugar.

Heber y Eown fueron súper amables y atentos, Maroli es de las personas más dulces y amorosas que puedes encontrar 🫶 Mis tareas fueron relacionadas a la jardinería así que disfruté mucho estando ahí, el lugar es precioso, parece como si estuvieras en un cuento de hadas rodeada de tanta hermosa naturaleza 🧚✨ Agradezco mucho la oportunidad de participar en este hermoso proyecto 😊

The experience started off well — Hever was kind, respectful and always provided plenty of food, taking our preferences into account. However, things changed when Owen arrived. He made us feel uncomfortable, restricted our access to parts of the house, and avoided all communication. There was no real cultural exchange, and the promised activities only happened twice in over a month. Overall, we didn't feel welcome and wouldn't recommend the experience while Owen is involved.

Me siento decepcionado al escuchar esto, incluso después de nuestras extensas discusiones y todo lo relacionado con mi hermano y la oferta de voluntariado. Sinceramente hice todo lo posible dentro de mis medios, y sí, hubo conflictos de personalidad significativos, aunque en mi opinión esta reseña es injusta. Esta reseña no refleja lo que todos los voluntarios han experimentado ni lo que harán. La falta de una cocina separada y de un espacio de convivencia hizo que la convivencia fuera difícil en ocasiones. Cualquier persona interesada está bienvenida a discutir conmigo.

Our experience started well with Heber, who was kind, respectful, and clear about our tasks. We cared for his mother with Alzheimer's for two full weekends, demanding and not in the original agreement, but we accepted it with empathy. Sadly, everything changed when his brother Eoin arrived. He avoided all communication, gave indirect orders, treated us like employees, and made disrespectful comments about us. The environment became tense and unwelcoming. We're thankful to Heber, but can't recommend this experience under these conditions.

If you are looking for a quiet retreat into the Irish countryside, this place will definitely tick that box. The home is quite welcoming. There are plenty of jobs to do - you will be always be busy! The only thing is that it can sometimes be difficult to travel into Sligo.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the home. Heber and Eion were great hosts and allowed us the freedom to perform duties that matched our talents and abilities. The Irish culture is delightful and we are grateful that we were able to participate in Worldpackers. Thank you!

Exactly as expected and discussed beforehand. This is a beautiful property! There seems to be something for everyone's skill set, from construction, welding, gardening, yard work, painting and sealing - I even cut wood! Heber and Eoin are excellent hosts. They were very attentive to our needs and always responded quickly to questions. They were able to find gratifying work for us that matched our skill sets. They were also a great source for what to do and see in the area. With many trips to the local village for hardware, shopping, and pub life, we felt we became part of this small community!

My stay at Hanna Lodge? Great. It has far exceeded my expectations. Heber, Eoin and their mother are wonderful people. This old country house transmits peace and has all the comforts, food is never lacking, although like everything old it needs care and repairs, so if you like DIY, gardening and working relaxed and independently but with love for the small details this is your place. If you are only going to improve your English it will depend a lot on the companions you have and their level of English. It would be good to check with whom you are going to share your stay beforehand.

It was a good experience. My hosts were very nice and open-minded. Heber is full of energy and zest for action. And it never gets boring. The large library in the house is also worth a look or two. But there was also a lot of work at the home. After work, however, we also went on nice trips together or I was able to do my own thing. The place and the landscape are really beautiful.
