Pasé tres semanas aquí para mi primera experiencia como voluntario, y todo fue más que perfecto. Mientras estuve allí, la actividad iba lenta, pero aun así nunca me aburrí. Mis colegas y mi gerente, el señor Hong, se convirtieron en personas que recordaré por el resto de mi vida, y intentaré volver a visitarlos si tengo la oportunidad. Dicho esto, no creo que este lugar sea adecuado para las personas que necesitan mucha interacción social. Si las cosas van lentas, debes poder pasar algo de tiempo a solas. Sin embargo, es perfecto para quienes buscan paz.

Este lugar me dio mucha paz, que era exactamente lo que estaba buscando. Si buscas un lugar para fiestas, este no es el lugar para ti. Cada persona que trabaja en el albergue fue muy amable conmigo. Solo te recomiendo tener un poco de paciencia, ya que el inglés no es su punto fuerte y a veces puede parecer que no quieren interactuar, pero ese no es el caso. La comida es muy buena, y sin duda, si regreso a Kampot, espero volver al Funky Moon. La única observación, sería genial tener más claridad con las instrucciones para la tarea que hay que hacer

The vibe of the local Khmer people is something I will never forget. It was my first Worldpackers experience and I am so happy to have it be this place. The host is pretty chill about most things, mutual respect goes a long way. The location is great, even better if you manage to rent a motor bike. The staff are always making sure the facilities are kept up to shape. Its such a nice experience once you get used to the lifestyle. Definitely plan on coming back during the high season when much more is going on.

The hostel was super chill and the shifts were straight forward. You take food orders, drinks, serve them, keep the bar area clean and just have a good time. It was low season when I was there, but Day Ron made the time go by like a breeze. Super sweet manager that will always made you feel welcomed and appreciated. Lots of love to the hostel!

My time at the hostel was so special. I felt welcome immediately, and everyone who works here is so kind. The work is very relaxed, and gives you plenty of time to go and explore. This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I wouldn't change a thing. I learned so much about myself staying here, and a lot of that is thanks to Day Ron. He encouraged me to get out of my shell, and explore and meet new people. He has inspired me and my future travels, and I know he will have that impact on anyone who heads to the hostel. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Volunteering at the hostel was most definitely one of the best experiences I had since I left home. The job is really easy and leaves plenty of time to enjoy the town and the beautiful nature surrounding Kampot . The staff is amazing, everyone is really supportive and makes all the experience really enjoyable and fun. I'm so thankful for every moment and memory I created in a magical place that I'll always consider as a second home.

My time at both the hostel and Yellow Sun was truly magical. Meeting so many like-minded individuals - both local and international, led to so many friendships and connections. The managing staff are so friendly and helpful, you feel very welcomed. Great to have accommodation and covered meals, but the memories and experiences are what make it all worth it! Extra bonuses include cute dogs, amazing Khmer meals, lovely coworkers, and stunning sunsets.
