I really loved it! Øystein is such a caring person and always wants you to feel save and comfortable. He shows you local places and tells you lots of story's about the places and Norway in general. I can really recommend going there!

Good experience all around, animals all very friendly and well trained, expensive country for food and travel, placement is quite far from airport, host did pick me up but I had to arrange my own transport back. Oystein is really kind and trusting of volunteers, he goes out of his way to include you in his life and is happy to explain anything you ask.

Øystein's farm is super cute, I already miss the animals a lot, especially Gustav, my little friend. The landscape is absolutely beautiful. I've never seen a place where every single meter looks so pretty and I had plenty of free time to explore the area and enjoy the nature. Øystein is super kind and funny, and he really trusts his volunteers. Since this was my first volunteering experience, I felt very welcome on his farm! The tasks were very varied, and you're able to organize yourself and decide when to get your working hours done. I can highly recommend this experience :).

The stay on the farm was incredible. It's one of the most beautiful places i've ever been and Øystein is the kindest man you could imagine. He always invited me to tag along and be part of his daily life and he had so much trust and confidence in us volunteers. For me the loneliness was a bit hard sometimes, especially when Øystein was away for a couple of days. But besides that there's really only positive things i can say, i would 100% recommend a stay on his farm.

This was the best experience! I spent a month at this farm, which I thought was a perfect amount of time! The host is so kind and flexible, he even let me take a weekend off to travel! The location is great, this was my first Worldpackers experience and it was amazing!!

I had a lovely two-week stay at the farm. The host was generous and easy to communicate with, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere from the very beginning. The animals were incredibly sweet and so well cared for, it was such a joy to spend time caring for them each day. Being immersed in nature helped me slow down and appreciate the small things. The area itself was incredibly peaceful, with a quiet neighborhood that made it feel like a real escape from busy life. I highly recommend this stay to anyone who enjoys nature, animals, and a peaceful environment.

I had an absolutely incredible time. The task were very simple and organised. You don't have to stress about anything and it's a really good place if you want to connect with nature and also have a little bit of time towards yourself away from the busy city life

Hi Akhil. Unfortunately I didn't get to write a review for you in time so I'll write a little here. It was very nice and useful to have you here on the farm. I hope things worked out with the accommodation you had to return to Italy and sort things out with. And I wish you a nice time in what is from my position the other end of Norway (far north).

I had an absolutely wonderful time at the farm! Øystein is an amazing person with so many great stories to share. He patiently taught us how to work with the horses, drive the carriage, collect logs from the forest, and many other traditional skills. It was such a unique and enriching experience. It's a perfect place if you want to learn new things, enjoy the peace and beauty of the forest, and meet interesting people along the way. The atmosphere is very special and welcoming. All the animals are incredibly sweet, I will truly miss them, especially the dog Varg!

There is so much to say and so little characters allowed, but overall my stay at the farm will probably remain my best experience volunteering for a while. Øystein is a sweetheart, and that can be felt in the way all his animals approach humans (except Karl I don't understand why he's homicidal but I think he doesn't either). He's very accommodating, keen to share his broad knowledge and his connections. The work is forward and honest, the place is great, people all around are super welcoming ! If you want to spend some time alone it's great, and if you want to be surrounded you can. 10/10

I really valued my time here as I learned so much more about horses and what life in the countryside could look like. I also discovered a genuine interest in horse-drawn carriage rides, which I didn't have much experience in before. You get a lot of independence, and you're trusted to manage your time and tasks on your own. If you love horses, this would be a great and rewarding experience.
