Tuve una experiencia maravillosa con Girls Can Lead. Llegué preparado/a con el programa y las actividades, pero tener a Jay conmigo fue clave para adaptar todo sobre el terreno y crear un entorno dinámico con las niñas. Realmente disfruté conectar con ellas y encontré que las dos semanas fueron muy gratificantes. El alojamiento fue más desafiante para mí, así que decidí mudarme a otro lugar después. Compartí este comentario con la organización, y fueron muy receptivos y considerarán mejoras para futuros voluntarios.

Los niños son maravillosos de estar cerca y muy deseosos de aprender. Realmente se sienten felices cuando alguien viene a pasar tiempo con ellos. La mayoría de los niños no tienen pluma para escribir. Si fuera posible, sería increíble si pudieras traer bolígrafos 🖊️ o cuadernos de ejercicios vacíos que ya no necesites. Es una causa significativa, pero se beneficiaría de una organización y comunicación más sólidas. En el futuro, podría ser útil que el organizador esté más involucrado con la escuela. Me and my sister had an amazing time in this volunteer. We stayed with a local family there which totally made the difference. They were lovely and attentive at all times. At the school, you can organize your schedule and help in any way! We did some lessons and also decoration for the classrooms. The staff at the school was kind and welcoming. Truly recommendable experience if you like kids and want to live the authentic Gambian life. And thanks to Ebrima for arranging it all. See you again!🥰

It was a very rewarding experience. Totally immersed in the local culture. The family welcomed me as one of their own and were attentive to me and my needs at all times. They made my experience truly unforgettable. About the stay at the school, the teachers and the children were always very friendly and I had a great time with them. We also did a workshop for the girls in the community which was wonderful. I sincerely recommend the organization Experience as they da lot of social impact work. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to do this volunteer work and to have been a part of it.
