I would highly recommend this experience to anyone! Alfy was incredibly welcoming to us as a couple, and we felt instantly at home within her community and involved in the local culture. The students were amazing, enthusiastic, and always excited to learn English. It's helpful to have some games and activities prepared, but the students speak good English, and Alfy was always there to help whenever we got stuck. We had an amazing and rewarding week that really helped us grow in confidence when leading classes

We had a great time with Alfi taking part in her extracurricular English class for local children / young adults. Alfi treated us like family, introducing us to her community and giving us many opportunities to engage with the local culture. All the students we met were enthusiastic, respectful and very excited to meet us! The homestay was good too and we rented a scooter here. If, like us, you have no previous teaching experience, be prepared that you will be leading classes on a variety of topics. We were nervous at first but we had a great time and really developed our confidence!

Alfi is such a wonderful host! She puts so much effort into making the volunteering experience more enjoyable, productive, and fun for everyone. Having my first volunteering experience with Alfi and her team was truly special. I really enjoyed my time there and felt very lucky to have started my volunteering journey with such a great team. I would definitely recommend volunteering with them! ❤️

Mi experiencia estuvo muy linda, Alfy muy amable y atenta, al igual que Amalia e Ika, hicimos varias actividades juntas, compartimos almuerzos, cenas, me adentré mucho más en sus culturas y costumbres. Lo único que decir es que yo había aplicado para enseñar deporte, y ese suponía que sería mi rol, pero llegué y resulta que era enseñar inglés, estuvo muy bien igual lo disfruté mucho, pero me hubiese gustado saberlo eso por adelantado. Lo recomiendo totalmente 🤗❤️ Gracias !!!

What a wonderful person Alfy is! :D She was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my entire stay. She was very flexible with my volunteering dates, which I really appreciated, and communication was always great. I wish her and everyone at the project all the very best!

Best experience ever! Alfi is the best host you could ever wish for, and the community around her are amazing! I felt welcomed from the second I met everyone, everyday we were greeted with a smile and every meal shared together came with so many laughs and memorable conversations. The students in the extra circular classes were such a pleasure to teach, they were always so eager to learn, further Alfi's passion for English is truly evident in the amount of effort she puts into her classes and it is truly inspirational watching her teach and help the community!

Si antes de venir me hubiesen dicho que iba a comer sentada en el suelo, en un pequeño pueblo local, sin apenas comodidades y completamente inmersa en una cultura tan diferente, probablemente me lo habría pensado dos veces. Me alegro de no haberlo sabido. Además, el equipo siempre estuvo pendiente de nosotros: pedí que mi comida no fuera picante y la adaptaron desde el primer día. Este voluntariado me enseñó a valorar la sencillez, a salir de mi zona de confort y a descubrir que las mejores experiencias no siempre son las más cómodas. I had an incredibly rewarding experience volunteering with Alfi. She welcomed me like family and ensured I was well looked after throughout my stay. The extracurricular English program was well organised, engaging and meaningful, making it a pleasure to teach. Beyond the classroom, I enjoyed genuine cultural exchange, spending time with the local community, exploring beautiful the project and trying delicious Indonesian food. I highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking authentic travel with purpose.

Me and my two friends volunteered with Alfi for 2 weeks and had the most amazing time. The teaching was relaxed and fun- the kids are absolutely lovely, are very clever and so excited to learn English. Alfi was the most generous host, brought us food everyday and she took a lot of time to teach us about local life and culture. We felt really immersed in the local lifestyle which made our experience unforgettable. She introduced us to her friends and we built such strong friendships with them. This is definitely an experience you will never forget!! We would recommend it to everyone :)
